* ''ComicBook/SpiderMan'': Mary Jane was like this in her earlier appearances. Readers eventually find out there was some [[StepfordSmiler Stepford Smiling going on]] and in the modern era, her character is about 100 times more grounded (still a fun character, just not bat crap crazy). Earlier appearances of Aunt May also indicated that she lived in Cloud Cuckooland (the joke being she was senile). Like MJ, she's since mellowed out a lot, creating some EarlyInstallmentWeirdness for readers who go back and read collections of the old trades.

* Justyna from Polish comic ComicBook/EmilkaSza is totally insane and like to interpret the world in her own unique way. For starters she has installed a swing in the window of the second-floor flat where she lives, and she enjoys spending her time swinging on it. After she is done she simply say, 'My plans for today are over.' Her solution to prove that ghosts are real involves breaking into the cemetery in the middle of the night to find one. On another occasion, she casualy enters Eric's house and asks he is taking a bath just ask him if she can read her poetry to him. Calling her eccentric would be the understatment of the year. Interestingly she is only character who is unphased by Emilka's invisible house and just act like its a everyday thing.
** The character would later appear in spin-off one shot story (writen by the same author) where she for no reason just breaks into room of some kids at night just to tell them a poem she wrote about a cat being trapped in a oven (A tale which she finds cute)

* In ''ComicBook/{{Melusine}}'', we have [[CuteWitch Mélusine]]'s cousin, [[OurFairiesAreDifferent Mélisande]]. Combined with low intelligence, [[AttentionDeficitOohShiny a distracted mind]] and LiteralMinded, Mélisande can't understand a simple greeting phrase and seems warped in her own universe. Seriously, she makes [[Webcomic/TheOrderOfTheStick Elan]] look like a Nobel-prized genius.

* Guarana from "''ComicBook/{{Dollicious}}''" series as evident [[http://meagolicious.com/dollicious-komiksowy-debiut Here]]. has wide range of these from Guarana (over the top energetic girl who acts first and think later - if at all), Gummi (a teddy-bear maniac with a wannabe superhero persona) and Bubblegum (just more chill version of Guarana, realy), to Pumpkin (horror geek who see spooky conspriacy everywhere) and Tiramisu (who is ready to break into TV station just to destroy a tape where she say something unoriginal just to asure others she is in fact original) It's honestly at points contest who can out-crazy who in this series.

* ''ComicBook/StarWarsInvasion'': The mysterious Master Dray acts like an absent-minded hobo, spouting non-sequiturs and bizarre comments punctuated by lucid moments. Notably, this characterization persists [[spoiler:even after he's revealed to be a Dark Jedi]].

* Hay Lin from ''[[Comicbook/{{WITCH}} W.I.T.C.H.]]'': very quirky and artistic, cheerful and absent-minded, constantly writing on her palms and using her own expressions like "spacious" (instead of "cool") and "weirdific."

* Delirium from ''Comicbook/TheSandman'' sometimes comes close to this trope -- since she's the AnthropomorphicPersonification of insanity, it's probably reasonable to assume that she is genuinely crazy (insofar as this means anything regarding one of the Endless), but nonetheless she does have at least one moment during the series where she pulls herself together and becomes briefly 'sane', though it's made clear that she finds it very difficult to do this. It has been implied that she's not just the incarnation of insanity, but the incarnation of ultimate, painful, sanity-breaking clarity. She also has a few other moments in which she seems to become temporarily slightly more lucid, and comes out with a very perceptive or useful comment before reverting to her usual chaotic self.
