This page lists the characters from the Xyz Dimension, most notably from Heartland.

The Resistance. The remaining Xyz duelists who haven't been captured by Academia; they are the last remnants of a world that's gone to hell due to dimensional invaders. The Xyz dimension was originally a peaceful place to live in before they were attacked without warning. Somehow, duelists of the Resistance were able to procure the same technology as their enemies and can now inflict real damage on their opponents and seal them away into cards. Only time will tell if their efforts against their enemies will pay off, though according to Sora, these duelists are fighting a losing battle. They are based off of [[Anime/YuGiOhZEXAL the fourth Yu-Gi-Oh! series]], with Heartland being their setting and their main summoning method being Xyz.

* TheChick: Out of the Lancers that made it to Heartland and the Resistance remnant group, she is the only female duelist shown, and though she's not unskilled, she seems to be the least inclined towards dueling in the first place.

* UpToEleven: He's pretty much Kurosaki with every aspect of Kurosaki's character subjected to this trope.

* CompositeCharacter: She is the quieter purple-haired girl to the louder redhead, similar to Droite and Gauche's relationship, is a shy {{Meganekko}} like Cathy, and finally uses Fairy Cheer Girl like Kotori. Her dueling style is defensive like Droite's.

* CostumeEvolution: A downplayed but meaningful example: the FingerlessGloves he had in ''ZEXAL'' are swapped out for a red Resistance scarf tied around his hand. Also, the card plate on his Duel Disk is swapped for a HardLight version in keeping with the rest of the ''ARC-V'' Disks, but retains its unusual crescent shape.

* FingerlessGloves: She wears them in her image.

* InstantAwesomeJustAddDragons: His ace monster, Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, the ''ARC-V'' variant of Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon.

* CatchPhrase: "Are you ready to repent?" gets uttered once per episode with his dueling appearances.

* {{Meganekko}}: Always seen wearing glasses and she is kind of {{Adorkable}}.

* HairDecorations: Sayaka has orange and lime barrettes in her hair.

* BigGood: Next to the Lancers and the Standard Dimension trying to oppose Academia, the Resistance is this as well.

* TheRemnant: Academia considers anyone from the Xyz dimension to be this and make it a point to hunt them down. Yuto and Kurosaki get ticked whenever they are referred to this, as they believe that eventually, they will take back their homes and friends.
* ReportsOfMyDeathWereGreatlyExaggerated: Possibly. Sora seemed to think they were thoroughly defeated and talked about them as though Kurosaki and Yuto were part of a tiny handful of survivors. Flashbacks in episode 75 reveal that they have at least one refugee camp filled with rows of tents, and the dialogue implies that this may be just one of several refugee camps. Nothing is currently known of the Resistance outside of Heartland, so their status is up in the air. Subverted in Episode 100. When Yuya asks a Heartland woman about the Resistance, she replies that most of them were already wiped out by Academia. Then it turns out it was Spade Group that was wiped out, Clover managing to survive.

* StealthPun: Aside from "Cipher" meaning "Lightwave" or "Zero", it also has something to the word "Lu'''cifer'''", emphasizing his FallenHero status.

* TheAce: Given all that was said about him prior to Academia's invasion it appears he was this and was believed to be well on his way to becoming Heartland's Champion. After meeting Yuya he constantly shows ''why'' he was the favorite in becoming Heartland's champion handily defeating Gongenzaka and Sawatari at the same time, handily defeated Kurosaki and 3 Obelisk Force members, more than likely would've defeated Yuya if not for Kurosaki's timely arrival, and quickly figured out how to counter the foreign Extra Deck mechanics used by the Lancers.

* AdaptedOut: Haruto and Dr. Faker are no where to be seen or mentioned by him, though it's implied that they have alternate versions here.

* AdaptationalWimp: Downplayed, since he still has an excellent dueling record. However, this version loses twice in ''Arc-V'' unlike Kaito from ''Zexal'' who only lost once in the entire series.

* CatchPhrase: "Are you ready to repent?" gets uttered once per episode with his appearances so far.

* CurbstompBattle: Kaito regularly deals these out as if it was going out of style whether it's [=FTKs=] or multiple [=OTKs=] at once, so far he's only lost ''twice'' in the entire series.

* KickTheDog: He refers to "comrades" as just burdensome baggage when they inevitably are defeated and their losses would demoralize him. Thus, any attempts at friendship, even from his former allies, are slapped aside with a glare.
