* EarnYourHappyEnding: After a whole series of losing basically all but his sanity to the kaiju threats and alien attacks he finally gets to have his peace after defeating the Black Saucer kaiju, destroying their source and having his child students avenge all of the victims of Black Directive by killing him. By the end of the series, he proceeds to WalkTheEarth on his own terms.

* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: The first episode of ''Ultraman Regulos'' reveals that Leo is this towards the titular Ultraman. When Leo bests Regulos in their sparring practice, Regulos claims that Leo has beaten him for 15 matches total, without Regulos winning even a single fight.

* HumongousMecha: A giant robot that the Ultras had specifically created for usage as a Capsule Monster.

* AllLovingHero: Loves Earth and its people.
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: To his teammates, who are angry with him all the time.

* ButtMonkey: When his teammates aren't on his case, it's the Captain. Gets hurt often, too.

* EarnYourHappyEnding: When he defeats the last kaijuu, it's very satisfying.

* TrainingFromHell: From grueling martial arts practice to even getting assaulted, all to prepare him for a future encounter with a kaijuu.

* ClimaxBoss: Of Tooru Umeda Character arc. For most of the series, especially the black star aliens arc, he has been haunted by what he has lost, and in the episode itself he's basically given up on life which allows Nova to take control of him. However, thanks to the love of his adopted family he is able to break free of Nova, and final move on.

* BladeOnAStick: Kettle only wields a spear, though it can also fire laser bullets from its end, and he's really good with using it.

One of the brutal race that destroyed Ultraman Leo's homeworld at the beginning of the series, Alien Magma set his eyes on Earth with his monster lackeys, the Gilas Brothers, to devastate cities with the monsters' tsunami-creating powers and defeat Ultraseven. He would return in Episode 28 when he attempted to marry the bird-like alien Rolan, coming face-to-face with Ultraman Leo once more.

* IfICantHaveYou: Rolan rejected his advances, so he turned on her.
