* DistressedDamsel: They're stuck in their chambers, their powers and free will restricted by [[CensorSteam chains]] and can only beg/trick/seduce you into freeing them.

* BonusBoss: While most of the Brothers are optional fights, Tyrant is the one you're least likely to fight. He [[spoiler:doesn't participate in the witch hunt]] and is the hardest to anger.

* WrenchWench: If to believe her, she herself made the blimp she is inhabiting now. She also reminds on how does she like to build things.

* [[ManOnFire Woman On Fire:]] Her chains are made of fire.

* BladeOnAStick: His main weapons, and what's mostly keeping him together. He also uses these as stilts, to walk around on, to make up for his lack of legs.
** ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Not only he has stilts for legs, he is also impaled in his chest with something that resembles a spear.
* ImpossibleTask: Likes to request these in the international release.

* UnwittingInstigatorofDoom: [[spoiler: Both your presence and your actions are killing the Void. Color itself explains that when a living soul appears in a Void the soul "inevitably transforms Color through itself" as its nature, and that Voids are destined to die.]]

* AnAxeToGrind: In a metaphorical sense: when talking to her, the pendulum with a blade is seen rocking above her and is ready to lower down and to cut her in half.

* DrivenToSuicide: [[spoiler: Still implied in the game in a seeming flashback of the surface where you jump off the buidling, the original Russian version explicitly states that the protagonist committed suicide prior to the start of the game.]]

* LivingMacguffin: [[spoiler: As Aya and Color itself explains, the Sisters were created by the Sleeper and are dreams of the future, his dreams of a better world...and upon achieving Breakthrough and ascending to the next Limit that is the surface, will become the soul of a new age of mankind and change the entire world.]]

* BerserkButton: There are a large number of things that can set them off, including giving the Sisters too much colour.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Tying in with BerserkButton, the way they think and operate is a bit weird in our perspective.

* OurSoulsAreDifferent: Quite possibly one of the most extensive and strangest examples ever. [[spoiler: The Sleeper was once the Awake but lost his soul...and the soul he lost is you, the Void is you. And it's no MentalWorld, but a Limit, as is the Nightmare and the Surface/Upper Limit. A human life is a Chain of Limits, a Chain of Voids, and the Chain is said to be endless...]]

* OurSoulsAreDifferent: Quite possibly one of the most extensive and strangest examples ever. [[spoiler: The Sleeper was once the Awake but lost his soul...and the soul he lost is you, the Void is you. And it's no MentalWorld, but a Limit, as is the Nightmare and the Surface/Upper Limit.]]

Ire's Brother, locked in strange mechanism resembling a barrel organ with other sound-making devices attached. He is not very serious and acclaims the reason to spend Colour, due to him and his Brothers being sinful.

* MartyrWithoutACause: A somewhat strange example, with him acclaiming that you have to spend Colour to live, yet you have to feel pain for this to suppress your temptation to do so. Why do you have to suppress your temptation, then? He's a Brother, they have to do so for reasons unknown.

* CreepyCoolCrosses: Chained onto one of them.

* SurrealSymbolicHeads: His head is replaced with some sort of ornate metal spire.

* BadassGrandpa: Even though [[MeaningfulName he is the eldest Brother]], he still has enough power to cause some damage if needed.

* BodyHorror

* ITakeOffenseToTheLastOne: Of everything that's about breaking rules of Brothers, he is offended about the Spirit (possibly) thinking that the Brothers are the main authority of the Void.

Ava's Brother. He is willing to give the spirit a chance, but is extremely judgmental, and obeys the Void's rules to the letter, making him as dangerous as other Brothers.

Una's Brother, one of the nicer and calmer Brothers, like Montgolfier. This attitude may be due to the fact he is very old and does not have enough strength to argue with other Brothers, but break enough rules, and he will roll out to punish you.

* MeaningfulName: He is the eldest Brother.

Yani's Brother, who has a literal cage [[VisualPun in place of ribcage]]. He is one of the evil Brothers and wishes to punish you for manipulating Colour.

He was the brother of now-runaway Aya. Has a huge drill in place of his legs, which he can use to tunnel. Also, he is the victim of massive decay. His opinion on you is neutral and he does not want to interfere in the way of other Brothers.

Ire's Brother, locked in strange mechanism resembling a pipe organ with other sound-making devices attached. He is not very serious and acclaims the reason to spend Colour, due to him and his Brothers being sinful.

* MusicalAssassin: Due to him being a music-themed Brother, he plays his own background fighting music. It is better to keep distance when fighting him, because he is armed with a pair of cymbals and will strike them if you approach him; the resulting shock wave can easily deplete you of all your Colour.

Ava's Brother. He is friendly enough and considers the Spirit to be a good person, but obeys the Void's rules nevertheless, meaning that he is as dangerous as other Brothers.

Una's Brother, one of the nicer and calmer Brothers, like Whaler. This attitude may be due to the fact he is very old and does not have enough strength to argue with other Brothers, but break enough rules, and he will roll out to punish you.

* TheVamp: Basically, she calmly and composedly begs you to feed her woth color.
