* CloudCuckoolander: The reason why most of his reports end badly.

* BadassBaritone: His voice is ''really'' deep. His voice actor, Fernando Solís, has quite a reputation in Chile for this.

* OverprotectiveDad: Or rather, overprotective uncle. In the episode "Fiesta En Casa de Juanin" it is hinted, and more confirmed in the movie and the fourth season, that he does not like the idea of Patana getting a boyfriend at all.

* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: In "El Bebé Monstruo", thanks to the Baby Monster, he's allowed to continue his program after many years, [[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor but eventually, he starts to suffer from the baby brattiness]], when her mother comes back for her baby, [[WhatAnIdiot he begs her to not take him away]], [[{{Greed}} since he allowed him to have his program back]], [[DomesticAbuse in the end, he ends becoming the new toy of the eponymous Baby Monster and starts to suffer all of the mistreatment from him and his mother]]. [[AlasPoorVillain You probably would feel bad for him]], but considering everything he did, he deserved the karma get him one day.

* AmbiguouslyGay: In general, he is quite attentive and affectionate with Tulio even when he treats him like a servant, and although this attitude of his annoys him, he seems to really try to please him in everything he can. Also a scene in the episode "Día libre" (Off Day), he plays the song ''Can't Fight This Feeling'' by REO Speedwagon, and when Tulio asks him about it, Juanin replies that he thought he could play something else '' intimate'' because they were ''the two of them alone''. In addition to being one of the few characters who has never shown interest in someone of the opposite sex, it is not known if this is because he is not interested in women at all or is simply such a {{Workaholic}} that he does not want to be in a romantic relationship with anyone.

A cilindrical, renowned music critic and cultural producer, host of the "Ranking Top" section of ''31 Minutos'', where he lists the Top 3 current best songs. Usually called to host major-scale events like the Top Top Awards.

* DependingOnTheWriter: she may be attracted to Guaripolo or dislike him like the rest of the characters.

* ICanChangeMyBeloved: In the episode "Patana Enamorada" she starts dating Guaripolo, who behaves like a DomesticAbuser, to which Mario Hugo shows her a note to show her how terrible he is, however this does not discourage Patana since she believes that although he has done things bad "she can change him". As expected, this does not happen.

* ShipTease: Although she generally ignores Mario Hugo's romantic advances, she has quite a ship tease with him. The episode "Fiesta en Casa de Juanin" shows her attraction to the mysterious and unknown young man, and she was not disappointed in the least after learning that is Mario Hugo himself. In the episode "Maquina del Tiempo" and "La Alcancía" dance with him for no apparent reason. In "El Funeral de Tulio" she mentions that she waited all her life for Mario Hugo to ask her to marry him but when he never did she remained single. Also in the episode "Bodoque Envenenado" Mario Hugo tries to calm her and she does not seem uncomfortable or pull him away at in any moment.
* StraightMan: Due to her OnlySaneWoman status, she is the least prone to comic relief of the cast overall. Also her no-nonsense personality serves as a foil to the other's wacky attitudes, an aspect she shares with Juanin but even he is incredibly prone to ButtMonkey moments, which Patana lacks.

* ButtMonkey: Not as often as Juanín, but he has a lot of moments where he's physically assaulted or put down by someone or something, usually his greed, selfishness or lack of Common Sense.

* TheDitz: A running gag, he acts more articulated than the rest of the crew, but his BookDumb status and general lack of common sense becomes a RunningGag by the start of the second season. This is in part due to the aforementioned {{Flanderization}} of his character to play off Juanin and Bodoque, and as a general parody of Chilean TV news anchors in the early 2000s, who were generally thought of and portrayed as well-spoken talking heads who rarely knew what they were talking about.
* {{Flanderization}}: Started the show as a serious-minded newscaster and the [[OnlySaneMan only one in the crew who worried about it airing as planned]]. After the introduction of Juanín, his eccentricities started showing more often and, by the end of season Two, he's no better than his colleagues at being cartoonishly greedy and self-absorbed.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Tulio may not be the most pleasant individual, but he'll often go to great lengths for his friends and loved ones.
* TheFace: Of ''31 Minutos''. As the show's anchorman and general presenter, him and Juan Carlos are also shown off on the most advertising and merchandising for the show, along with Juanin to a lesser extent.

* TooDumbTolive: He once activated an atomic bomb despite being warned about its effects completely by accident.

* TheGamblingAddict: Starting from the second season, he's often portrayed gambling or visiting famous casinos on the way to his destination.

* KnightInSourArmor: [[TheCynic Despite he gave up in life]], he still does the Green Notes and in "Bodoque Censista", he takes census across the country and tries to be as professional he can be and take things seriously.

* NotSoAboveItAll: He ultimately ends enjoying the company of Patana's club of nerds, saying he's a nerd like them and is proud of being one.
* OddFriendship: Despite he doesn't consider himself a "nerd", he ends bonding with Patana and her club of nerds and having a lot of fun with them.

* NoSocialSkills: ''*In some way*.''In the ChristmasEpisode is revealed that people who appears in his Ranking Top is not really his friends, and only are profit-seekings.

* IdiotPlot: In "La Gran Gala De Titirilquén", he was among the many people trapped in the elevator, yet he does nothing to take everybody to the Great Gala in time.

* O.O.CIsSeriousBusiness: Despite being quite lazy, they inmediately follow their leader when he comes to resolve the big problem of the newscast.

* BreakoutCharacter: He has always been a relevant character in the show, but he is the most popular character, to the point that he has his own shorts "Bodoque Censista" and "Cuarentena 31".
