After his SuperIntelligence lets him breeze through her logic puzzles and paradoxes in seconds, she breaks down in tears, admits defeat, and begs him to save Erin anyways. * Fingore: She gets her pinkie and ring finger bitten off by a goblin when rescuing Mrsha. Later, an EldritchAbomination gives her fully-functional fingers back to her... still disconnected. She promptly throws them into a campfire out of horror.

* SickeningCrunch: The first use of RainbowSpeak in the web serial is the bright red crunch of her leg breaking under a wagon wheel.

* WhatWouldXDo: Starts to do this with Erin Solstice after Volume 5 in an attempt to curb her self-destructive tendencies.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: His efforts to defend the region from the Great Mountain City Tribe's raids are largely noble. Then, he ambushes the Flooded Waters Tribe simply because they're goblins. This leads to large sections of the region being burned, a human city falling in under two hours, his army taking heavy casualties, and him being forcibly conscripted into attacking Liscor. Afterwards, he is horrified at the realization that goblins are truly sentient.

* All Your Powers Combined: A Selphid possessing a living host maintains their own Classes, Levels, and Skills in any part of the body they are actively controlling, while the host keeps their's when in control themselves. * DidYouJustScamCthulhu: An unintentional example; Erin makes a deal with the Fey to make them a banquet, only for the gold she was paid with to turn into flowers in the morning. While initially frustrated, she plants the flowers, and begins to discover several uses for the highly magical plants. Several fairies debate taking the flowers back in exchange for a large pile of actual gold as this was not what they intended.
* JeanneDArchetype: Becomes this for many goblins, to the point where a coalition of at least three Goblin Tribes name themselves the "Solstice" Tribe, and join her in attacking the vastly larger Goblin Lord force to defend Liscor.

* WeirdnessMagnet: To the point where it's played for laughs that whenever anything unusual happens around Liscor, everyone assumes she did something.

* ActionGirl: She has 4th Dan in Muay Thai, and is both a parkour and distance runner. She has .

*BlowYouAway: After , she gains some control over wind, making it instinctively blow more in her presence, give her consistently favorable tail-winds, and kick up a defensive dust storm. No tornadoes yet though.

* Courier: Her job as a City Runner delivering letters and packages from city to city qualifies her for this trope, but she is not a true Courier yet. They are considered the Runner-equivalent to Gold and Named-Rank individuals.
* Determinator: She is capable of running over 80 miles at below a 4-minute-mile pace (while evading three ambushes) to deliver a message, meeting the speed qualification to be a Courier without any Classes or Skills.

* GivingRadioToTheRomans: She is the most paranoid Otherworlder regarding doing this, as she actually knows the basics of most technologies. She is so terrified of introducing Earth weapons that she would literally amputate her leg rather than make a deal for information.

* LeParkour: As part of her FormerTeenRebel status, she became skilled enough at Parkour to evade a lower-level [Assassin] in a Roofhopping chase.

* WeirdnessMagnet: On good terms with a dragon, considered a person to watch by a legendary [Necromancer], and friends with a Winter Fairy, and a Vampire.

* HonestAdvisor: Their completely foreign viewpoints, BrutalHonesty, and how overall amusing they are led Flos to make Trey and Teres his personal attendants.

to:

* YoungConqueror: King Flos was this, but gave up and let his continent-spanning kingdom collapse after several of his closest friends died expanding his borders. Trey and Teres' sudden appearance "woke him up" however.

Added DiffLines:

* TheEmperor: He declared himself Emperor of Durene's cottage (in the spirit of Norton I, the self-proclaimed Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico), and actually became an [Emperor].

This abilty to multi-class meant their species once took over the world in an "Enslaved Empire".

Added DiffLines:

* FindTheCure: Selphids, as a species, hope Geneva's unique knowledge and skill as a [Doctor] will lead her to discover a treatment for "the wasting", an unspecified condition slowly killing them as a species.
* HarmfulHealing: The main reason a [Doctor] has any actual role in a world full of Healers are the gruesome results of healing the flesh around or over certain things, and diseases that benefit more from Healing Potions than people do.
* HealingFactor: The fact that Geneva is alive means Okasha can rampage (push the host body beyond it's normal limits at the expense of damaging muscles) much better and more often than Selphids residing in corpses.
* MundaneUtility: Okasha can burn excess fat and lightly tear Geneva's muscles, resulting in peak physical condition and a six-pack without any actual exercise.
* PowerPerversionPotential: Geneva is very uncomfortable contemplating any form of intimacy since Okasha took up residence. Okasha's offers of hormone or physical "help" notwithstanding.

!! Erin Solstice, [Magical Innkeeper]

Erin Solstice is the main protagonist of The Wandering Inn. She is an [Innkeeper] and master-class chess player.
---
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Erin genuinely dislikes violence, but there's a reason the Floodwaters Tribe of Goblins called her "The Destroyer". She wields a FryingPanOfDoom, jars of acid, and is a mean bar brawler, and has been known to take on Hobgoblins and Shield Spider Nests (Silver-Rank targets) by herself.
* DidYouJustScamCthulhu: An unintentional example is when Erin makes a deal with the fey for making them a banquet, only for the gold she was paid with to turn to flowers in the morning. While initially frustrated, she plants the flowers, and begins to discover several uses for the magical plants. Several fairies debate taking the flowers back in exchange for a large pile of actual gold as this was not what they expected a human to do with the actually quite valuable flowers.
* MonsterRightsMovement: She has a "No Killing Goblins" sign outside her inn, and is friends with Anantium. Basically, if it has (or can gain) sentience, it should be treated as a person, no matter what.
* PowerUpFood: Her Skill [Wondrous Fare] allows her to make food with effects similar to alchemical potions. Some creations can grant temporary cold-resistance, induce nostalgic memory hallucinations, or cause various other effects.
* RousseauWasRight: She is a firm believer in this, even to the point of being genuinely nice to Goblins who had attacked her on several occasions, and taking on twenty Gnolls barehanded to protect Lyonette. Usually, she's proved right.
* SmartPeoplePlayChess: Played with. Erin is a chess prodigy and capable of beating both Niers Armstrong (the best [Strategist] in the world) and [Lady] Magnolia (who was effectively reading her mind at the time). However, she is clueless about many aspects about life, and often acts rather air-headed.
* TimeStandsStill: Erin's Skill [Immortal Moment] makes it feel like a moment has lasted for a long time. This doesn't let her do much in this literal moment, but it has interesting effects on status effects. Specifically, Erin uses this while under attack from Skinner, allowing her to grow numb to its [[SupernaturalFearInducer [Terror] Spell]] in just a few minutes.
* WideEyedIdealist: She has definite shades of this, and tries to bring fun and, well, magic to people's lives.

!! Ryoka Griffin

Ryoka Griffin is a secondary protagonist of The Wandering Inn. She has 4th Dan in Muay Thai, and is a Runner who goes barefoot whenever possible. Chapters focusing on her sometimes have an R next to them.
---

* ActionGirl: She has 4th Dan in Muay Thai, and is both a parkour and distance runner. She has .
* BadassNormal: With no Classes, Levels or Skills, Ryoka still manages to be extremely capable of both getting into, and surviving dangerous situations including EldritchAbominations of The Winter Solstice, Dragons, and the Necromancer's armies.
* FairyCompanion: Ivolethe is a Winter Fairy who decides to genuinely befriend Ryoka, as she finds her interesting. Ivolethe tries to teach her the nuances of Fairy Magic, and both enjoy exchanging barbs with each other.
* GivingRadioToTheRomans: She is the most paranoid Otherworlder regarding doing this, as she actually knows the basics of most technologies. She is so terrified of introducing Earth weapons that she would literally amputate her leg rather than make a deal for information.
* GrinOfAudacity: As a ChallengeSeeker, she sports one while running through the High Passes while chased by Griffons, and later when fighting a Silver-Rank Adventurer bare-handed.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Coming from an admittedly self-inflicted FriendlessBackground, she is very protective of the friends she has made. The only times the normally stoic girl has had HeroicBSOD are when her friends have died, or she believes they're in immediate danger of doing so.
* IKnowYourTrueName: Since the name on her birth certificate was written in Kanji, most scrying spells don't work on her.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Though heroic and (usually) well-meaning, her pride, anti-social tendencies, and general mistrust of authority often put her at odds with others, even people who are actually trying to make friends with her. This fades somewhat after she meets Erin and her friends and begins to rely on them, but even then she's rather aloof and prone to keeping to herself.
* MutualEnvy: She is jealous of Erin's social ability, while Erin is jealous of her physical ability and 'adventurous' lifestyle.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: After fighting with the Horns of Hammerad (who had saved her leg from amputation a few weeks before), she has this before realizing she's at least partially being influenced by a spell.
* RunOrDie: Ryoka has been in this situation multiple times. Ranging from through the High Passes while being chased by the whole FoodChainOfEvil that resides there, to running through the armies of The Necromancer out for her death.
* WillfullyWeak: Ryoka chooses not to gain any Classes, Levels or Skills, despite their obvious advantages. Doing this is so counter-intuitive that most characters are shocked when they find out. She does this because she suspects the System imposes some kind of restriction and alteration in those who embrace it.

!! Trey and Teres

A set of twins who appear in Chandrar inside the throne room of Flos, King of Destruction. This awakens his drive for battle, and he promptly consripts them into service as retainers. Chapters focusing on them often have a K next to them.
---

* OppositeSexIdenticalTwins: Trey and Teres(sa)

!! Tom, [Clown]

An overweight guy with the [Clown] Class who was summoned with a large group of Otherworlders by The Blighted King in Rhir. Chapters focusing on him often have a C next to them.
---

* Hammerspace: A Skill allows him to act as if he's pulling anything in a five-meter radius out of thin air into his hands. This includes an enemies' weapons from their hands.
* HorrifyingTheHorror: After his psychotic break after Wilen's death, he terrifies a group of demons who'd just slaughtered a town full of civilians and children.
* LaughingMad: He has the Condition [Horrific Laughter].
* MonsterClown:

!! Laken Godart, [Emperor]

A blind young man transported into a forest in northern Izril, and taken in by Durene, a half-troll. He declares himself emperor of her cottage on a whim. This soon escalates to him becoming Emperor of the Unseen Empire containing many villages in Northern Izril.
---

* BlindSeer: He can "see" all of his domain at any given time, including underground, under snow, in the dark, or miles away.
* TrueBeautyIsOnTheInside: He is dating Durene, a half-troll, who is one of the kindest people he has ever met.
* UndyingLoyalty: His Skill [Undying Loyalty] allows people who have been mortally wounded to continue to fight after their heart has stopped or with injuries that should leave them entirely unable to continue. Unfortunantly, the effect ends with the battle.

!! Geneva Scala, [Doctor]

A 24-year-old woman in her third year of med-school who appeared alone in the jungles of Baleros. She signs onto a mercenary company out of desperation as a [Doctor], an odd subclass of [Healer] few have ever heard of. Chapters focusing on her often have a D next to them.
---

* BloodSplatteredInnocents: Geneva is thrust into a fantasy-medieval war with the goal of saving lives on the battlefield with no tools than what she can make. She is usually coated in blood from her patients, not to mention having to do triage with friends in the line. After four battles, she has severe trouble showing any emotion.
* Eagleland: A large group of Otherworlders who came through a few weeks after Geneva have a vocal majority of TooDumbToLive walking American stereotypes.
* FictionalGenevaConventions/FictionalUnitedNations: "Rules of War" exist, but are hardly enforced in Baleros. The establishment of the Red Cross Company and the United Nations Conglomerate by various Otherworlders are an effort to fix that.
* SymbioticPossession: With the Selphid Okasha.
