* NumberOneDime: Link's first weapon is Orca's old, well-used Hero's Sword that is quickly dismissed by Tetra as "cheap." The in-game narration gives it more respect than most of the other items, and Link decides to take it with him when he goes on a new adventure at the end of the game.

* AncestralWeapon: The Hero's Shield he begins the game with was passed down through his family throughout the ages following the flood, and it quickly proves its worth as a disarming tool during the first raid of the Forsaken Fortress.

* BadassAdorable: To put things into perspective, he's one of the few Links who actually '''[=KILLS=]''' Ganondorf instead of sealing him. His badassery doesn't affect his innocence and cheerful attitude.

* BattleBoomerang: He can find a boomerang in the Forbidden Woods, which lets him lock on to as many as five targets at a time.

* BigBrotherInstinct: When Aryll is first kidnapped, he's so determined to get to her that he nearly ''runs off a cliff'' trying to do so.

* BrilliantButLazy: He's first introduced slacking off on top of a tower. That said, his fencing mentor says he's a natural with a sword, he takes to marksmanship very easily, is a master sailor, slays armies, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and is an expert at winning auctions.]]

* ChestInsignia: The center of his pajama shirt has a crawfish, a deceptively small but aggressive marine animal.

* CoolSword: As is tradition, the Master Sword. However, this time around the Blade of Evil's Bane is in a reduced, underpowered state, and he has to work with the Sages to restore it.
* CrazyPrepared: Has a weapon/item for every possible situation.

* EmpoweredBadassNormal: He gains access to magic in the game (namely, a souped-up spin attack, a full-body barrier, and the fire and ice arrows).

* HumongousHeadedHammer: After defeating Phantom Ganon, Link gets the Skull Hammer, a two-handed mallet with a head bigger than his own. It's the first weapon capable of dealing any serious damage to the Helmaroc King, who shrugged off a shot from the pirates' catapult early in the game. It's also used to depress some buttons in puzzles that can't be pushed by other means.

** Most Links have SuperSwimmingSkills. Meanwhile, he's limited by a stamina meter despite the fact that he should logically be the best swimmer of all (seeing as he grew up on an island in the middle of the ocean).

* KleptomaniacHero: If it even vaguely looks useful and isn't nailed down, Link will nab it. (He'll come back later for the nailed down stuff.)

* OddlyVisibleEyebrows: In a rare video game example, the graphics make it so that Link's eyebrows show up fully through his hair. If you angle the camera right, you'll even see that his ''eyes'' will show through his hair as well.
* PajamaCladHero: In the NewGamePlus, the Hero's New Clothes are invisible, meaning that the player can still see his pajamas.

* ScreamingWarrior: Especially when performing a Hurricane Spin. This incarnation of Link is particularly hot-blooded.

* SignatureHeadgear: Still sports his iconic green hat (Except in NewGamePlus).

* SuddenlyVoiced: Despite Links in the series being HeroicMute in nature with dialog trees he makes a lot more vocalizations, which gives him more of a personality to boot.
** Hilariously, in 4Koma Link's Logbook, Link actually does talk at certain points but he only does it on rare occasions.

* CurseEscapeClause: [[spoiler:Unintentionally becomes the only Link that has managed to break [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSkywardSword Demise's curse]], as him killing Ganon means Ganon never reincarnated in this timeline. Although never fully explained, the implication is him ''not'' being connected to the soul of ''the'' Link is what allowed him to defeat Ganon/Demise for good.]]

* TheCallKnowsWhereYouLive: Unlike most versions of the hero, this Link had no intention of leaving Outset Island and was living at peace with his family... until a giant enemy bird randomly swooped in and carried his sister away.

* IdenticalStranger: [[spoiler:Of the Hero of Time. This Link has zero connection to the soul of the hero, yet still strongly resembles him and shares his name. Why is never explained in game.]]

** It is him who [[spoiler:finally breaks [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSkywardSword Demise's curse]] by finishing off Ganondorf once and for all. He is the ''only'' Link so far who has successfully managed to do this; the kicker being that he's not even a direct reincarnation of a previous Link.]]

* LegacyCharacter: Though he is [[TheUnchosenOne not actually "chosen"]] to be the [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime Hero Of Time's]] successor at first, Link eventually ''forces'' the gods to choose him by carrying the Wind Waker, collecting the Triforce of Courage, and pulling out the Master Sword, earning him the title of the "Hero of Winds".

* EatTheDog: If Link revisits her, it's all but stated that she cooked all but one of her pigs for food.
