The shinobi students of the Gessen Girls’ Academy pride themselves on strict discipline and purity of spirit. Their five Elites are all adopted children of the infamous shinobi Kurokage, who fought to purge all evil from the world. Strong enough to put even Hanzo in his place, Sayuri is a tremendously powerful woman who still has a soft spot for her granddaughter. Lately, she’s been traveling around the country alongside the Mikagura sisters as a priestess for the festival. She was also once the target of Kurokage’s affections, over which Hanzo routinely fought him over years and years ago.

* CreatorsPet: Inexact. As she is adored by fans, she is considered by them as the face of Senran Kagura. Due to the series' fanservice,[[WolverinePublicity she became the main figure appearing in the series' advertisement, even more than Asuka]], and appears even in the [[CharacterFocus center of CGIs for moments where she is not even involved]], [[spoiler: such as Ryōki's last moments with her sisters, even in steadt of Ryōna]]. * TooKinkyToTorture: Well she is a masochist, after all. During Katsuragi's substory, Katsuragi humors Ryōna and agrees to "bully" her by groping her breasts, but soon regrets it when Ryōna ends up enjoying it instead of resisting like she expected. Her teammates eventually become wise to this and start to withhold punishment if she misbehaves.

* FunPersonified: She's very colorful and playful. Her fighting style is to literally play with her opponents using very cartoon-ish means.

* KiddieKid: By far the most childish of the Gessen girls, if not the most childish character in all of ''Senran Kagura'' -- she's 16 years old, but acts no older than '''''seven''''' most of the time. Yozakura tends to be the TeamMom towards her the most, such as threatening to spank her if she doesn't clean up her mess of toys.

* ForSCIENCE: She tries to get Shiki's support to practice and get some inspiration for the romance bits of her newest manga. Shiki flees for her life.

* TeamMom: In the earliest part of ''Shinovi Versus''' Gessen storyline, there's some friendly dispute between her and Yumi over who the team leader actually is, since Yozakura is clearly this.

* OneOfTheKids: By far the childish of the Gessen girls. Yozakura even tends to be the TeamMom towards her the most, such as threatening to spank her if she doesn't clean up her mess of toys.

* WomanChild: Her personality makes Hibari seem mature in comparison, which is [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] by a disturbed Haruka after Hibari explains Minori to her in ''Shinovi''[='=]s Hanzo storyline. Nonetheless, Minori still manages to have a rather shapely figure that's even curvier than Hibari's.

* KnightTemplar: Yumi still has an obsession with her Justice even if it has been moderated since Shinovi Versus. Her gameplay lines and shinovi versus story are still about her arguing how her Justice is superior, even compared to Asuka's Sword and Shield.
