While his second fight can be forgiven, as while revealing himself was arrogant, Orochimaru can survive grievous injuries due to Oral Rebirth and his regeneration, so not trying to dodge or block the Totsuka Blade wasn't ''too'' stupid of a thing to do without prior knowledge. However, there really was no excuse for his first fight with the younger Uchiha. Did he bring any edo tensei bodies to assist him, or any Hidden Sound ninjas to distract Itachi? Anything?
