It is this act of villainy that prompts him to launch an attack on the king, losing his life in the process.

* BitchInSheepsClothing: Does a very good job of pretending to be a doting son and younger brother, but the moment he's alone, he spits and curses on their names. Then, the moment he gets his hands on the royal scepter, he turns on Martin's group.
* BreakTheHaughty: Every time he attacks Xiang Ye only to be smacked down, he responds to his public humiliation by becoming ''even haughtier''.
* CainAndAbel: He plots the murder of his elder brother Barte.
* TheCaligula: He showcases why he's not fit to be king in chapter 233, and it's not his lack of forging ability. He's impatient, irascible, unable to handle criticism or contrary opinions, and just wants to boss people around for its own sake. The fact that his little pact with the demon tribe required 100 dwarves a month to be handed over and killed "for peace" just shows how little respect he has for his nation.
* DidNotThinkThisThrough: He expects the demon tribe to keep their agreement with him after they broke their agreement with Kahn and Barte, when Kahn and Barte can fight back but he can't.
* DrivenByEnvy: He's always been jealous of his older brother's talent with forging, and the fact that Barte was slated to inherit the throne, so he conspired with the demon tribe to take over.
* TheEvilPrince: He plots to kill his elder brother Barte and immobilize his father Kahn to take the throne.
* FantasticRacism: He thinks Dwarves, especially himself, are the master race.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: He wears glasses and would happily sacrifice the dwarf tribe to die if it means he can sit on the throne.
* HeKnowsTooMuch: He murdered all of Barte's guards when they returned to the Dwarven fortress to address the king about an incoming demon tribe attack.
* IgnorantOfHisOwnIgnorance: Thanks to his inherent belief that he's the penultimate dwarf and dwarves are superior to all other races, he's repeatedly shocked, confused, and outraged when he throws everything he has at Xiang Ye and the latter shrugs it off with ease. For example, he reveals a HumongousMecha and gloats that it's vastly superior to anything dwarves or humans could ever make. To Xiang Ye who responds with his own mecha, the former's is a ''valuable antique''!
* ManaDrain: To power his forging ability with the royal scepter, he uses a potion that allows him to drain "mental energy" from his fellow dwarves, far in excess of what his body can hold.
* ManipulativeBastard: Looks like a shy nerd, is actually a conspirator who sabotaged his father's war machines so he could murder his family, seize power, and work under the demon tribe.
* NonActionGuy: He has no talent for Forging and cannot fight.
* RewardedAsATraitorDeserves: [[spoiler: When he tries to flee so as not to get caught between Xiang Ye and Rosso, Rosso reveals that the "save your life corpse implant" he agreed to is actually a pupeteer parasite and Lolan gets EatenAlive.]]
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: When Xiang Ye and Rosso start fighting, he tries to flee. It goes badly.
* TronLines: Once he starts over-exerting himself in using the regal scepter and a "forbidden mental-energy-enhancing potion", he sports these all over his body.
* TheUnfavorite: Despite his scientific talent in pharmaceuticals, his father considered him a useful servant to his older brother because he happened to be the second-oldest and a poor fighter. This drives him to villainy.
* TheVictimMustBeConfused: He tries to claim that Barte is under human brainwashing the moment he shows up in the throne room and punches him in the face for attempting to have him killed and selling out the tribe so to sit on the throne.
* VillainousBreakdown: The instant Xiang Ye cures Kahn, he flies into a MotiveRant induced rage and starts to abuse the Pale-Moon Crystal Imbued Scepter.
* VirtueIsWeakness: When Xiang Ye briefly stops fighting for fear of the collateral damage, Lolan begins ranting that he has the upper hand against "the knock off mecha". Xiang Ye quickly proves him wrong by ''literally'' throwing him and his antique steam-powered mecha out of the city, and smacking him down some more once they're outside.

A mysterious and legendary tribe said to have existed in ancient times. Existence of the Gods is heavily disputed. Some people believe that the ruins depicting unusual pictures were left behind by the Gods. Xiang Ye and his friends visit one such ruin to research the God tribe. Vasily Andre later confirms their existence as the creators and masters of other races.

* AbusivePrecursors: And how! They sacrifice their creations to obtain the life force that keeps them alive.
* BrokenPedestal: Xiang Ye was curious about the God Tribe. After watching them from the memories of Andre, he is appalled by their murderous actions.

Later, he bestows Andre with immortality and tremendous power by infusing him with four life stones, so that the latter would watch over life on Hullo plains and supply the hibernating gods with some nutrition.
* TopGod: Is the king of the god tribe.
* YouSaidYouWouldLetThemGo: He promises his daughter to spare her human lover through Andre's mouth if she stands down and surrenders. Already in magical chains, she agrees. He has her chains removed and secures the god-slaying sword she wields. The ''instant'' said sword is out of her reach, he grabs her human lover Andemann and executes him, by turning him back into a god-stone, while she's ForcedToWatch and states "gods have no need to honor promises to their servants!" She flees, and finds herself very, very pregnant, on the run, having given birth among the demon tribe.

* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: She's only known by "High Priest." Her name is never revealed.
* HeroicSacrifice: Teleported Isabella and Xiang Ye out of the Demon Queen's castle as the Regent and his army were storming in, staying behind to buy time for their escape.
* HighPriest: Her title and occupation, in addition to advising the Kings. She is the only one who knows cryptic advanced spells. She even has a magical StaffOfAuthority.
* LongLived: She served as the priest for five generations of Demon Kings.
* ParentalSubstitute: A flashback reveals that the High Priest was the closest thing Isabella had to a parent.
* SummoningRitual: Summons Xiang Ye from Earth using Isabella's Ultimate World Gem as an energy source.

* OhCrap: When he sees Xiang Ye alive and well, entering a tournament against his brother, Bushi.
