* CompositeCharacter: The in-game bio identifies him as the original WWII combatant James Falsworth, who is even given the War Buddies teamup bonus with Wolvie and Cap. However, in a bit of discontinuity, in Season 2 he introduces himself as 'Joey', a.k.a. Joseph Chapman/Union Jack III. And when you think about it, it's unlikely that he is James Falsworth, unless he is BadassGrandpa (and to be fair, it's hard to be sure about this since his mask covers most of his face).

!!Phyla-Vell
-->"So you're the Honorary Guardian everyone is talking about. Well, there is nothing 'Honorary' about it, Agent.
As far as I'm concerned, you are a Guardian of the Galaxy, now and forever. Now let's go save the galaxy!"

->''The genetic offspring of the original Captain Marvel and Elysius, Phyla-Vell is the byproduct of using Titan cloning technology to create her genetic twin brother, Genis-Vell. Trained on Titan, Phyla quickly took up the mantle of Captain Marvel after her brother was driven mad by his own cosmic awareness. Phyla sparked a romance with Moondragon, and the two eloped, exploring the galaxy together. For a time, Phyla-Vell became the new Quasar and joined the Guardians of the Galaxy alongside Moondragon. However, when Moondragon was killed by Ultron, Phyla became the Avatar of Oblivion to bring her back to life. As Martyr, she fights alongside her fellow Guardians of the Galaxy but with a dark purpose yet to be revealed...''

-->"Ah, hello! You don't look villainous, far from it. I am Knight America, a patriot of the realm. The flow of reality is convoluted. Our fates are intertwined, as it seems. Let us be true brothers in arms! I would relish the chance to assist you in the future. Hah Hah Hah!"

->''The Second Dark Age arose from the fires of the Atomic Age and the aftermath of the Second World War. What once was the danger of "mutual assured destruction" became the unraveling of the Second Industrial Revolution. With the world's nations broken and technology lost, darkness not only covered the world, but also consumed the hearts of many who remained. Those with evil intent began to build their own kingdoms by corrupting the willing and enslaving the weak. All hope seemed lost for centuries until The Sentinel of Liberty, Knight America, fought back against these tyrant kings. Following the traditions of a bygone era, Knight America would gather anyone, willing to listen, around the bonfires to hear the ancient oral tales of loyalty, selflessness and the magnification of moral fiber. Armed with only his shield and sword, and the full plate mail which he adorned, Knight America set out to encourage and rally the people to work together and push back against the darkness to bring about a new age of hope and hearth fire for all people.''

-->"Excuse me, you must be the Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Peter was telling me about. ...So that's your future? Very interesting. This one would be honored to assist you."

->''Mantis was raised by a secret sect of Kree living on Earth called the Priests of Pama. They trained her in the martial arts and unlocked her psychic potential, believing that she would one day fulfill a prophecy as the Celestial Madonna, the mother to the perfect being. Erasing her memories, they allowed her to return to the outside world to gain real life experience. She joined the Avengers but eventually left Earth to complete the prophecy. Mantis gave birth to a son and allowed him to be raised by the Priests of Pama while she explored the cosmos. She was imprisoned by the true Kree where she met Star-Lord, and together, they set the groundwork for building the Guardians of the Galaxy.''
