* BackFromTheDead: As of chapter 102, when Himegami summons Yatsuno along with the rest of her Shikigami. Then combines her power with her mother's to create a massive spell circle to confine Yamato Takeru within the seal atop Amanohara.

Kodama's mother, Yatsuno, was the Eight-headed Orochi of legend in human form, and the creator of the Original 8 Maken. But she willingly surrendered her godhood after being seduced by Oousu no Mikoto, the first prince of the Yamato Court, whom she eventually married. It was a decision that eventually lead to her undoing when she and her husband were murdered by Kousu no Mikoto[[note]]Takeru Yamato's true name[[/note]].

* CursedWithAwesome: Blood Pointer allows its user to temporarily boost their power by drawing Element from the surrounding environment. The buildup is then released in an explosive [[PowerFist Ki-powered punch]], but the trade-off is each use shortens their lifespan.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: The Aman no Iwata seal was meant to protect Himegami, since Yamato's black Element made it impossible for him to cross it. Unfortunately, Yabiko never anticipated that Himegami would be unable to escape it herself. It inadvertently doomed her to 2,000 years of isolation, until Minori cracked it. By that time, Himegami had already died.

* LustObject: Oousu couldn't take his eyes of her body, and made no attempt to hide [[AManIsAlwaysEager what he]] was thinking. Yatsuno's response was the same as her daughter's, but she decided to marry the perv anyway.

So rather than having eight heads, she had reincarnated seven times, with Yatsuno being her eighth incarnation.

The first prince of the Yamato Court. He and Yatsuno met during the time she nursed him back to health, after his battle with his brother, Kousu. It wasn't long before she realized he was a perv and desired her body. Despite knowing this, he eventually succeeded in seducing her and fatheted their two children: their son, Yabiko and their daughter, Kodama.
