Added DiffLines:

* NoSell: Their shells are so tough that even Iron Man's FrickinLaserBeams failed to cause them any damage.

* AttackOFThe50FootWhatever: They are as big as a building, and they are very dangerous and destructive.
* TheCameo:
** In ''Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron'', a Leviathan's corpse shows up in Strucker's secret cave. Also, Wanda's powers cause Tony Stark to have a vision of an army of Leviathans heading toward Earth.
** A Leviathan briefly appears in the footage of the battle of New York shown during a scene of ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar''.
** Another Leviathan's corpse is present in the opening scene of ''Film/SpiderManHomecoming'', which takes during the aftermath of the battle of New York.
** In ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'', a Leviathan can be seen briefly during Gamora's flashback of Thanos's forces attacking her native planet.

* SpaceWhale: Leviathans are large creatures capable of surviving in space.

Added DiffLines:

* OneHitKill:
** In ''Film/TheAvengers2012'', one of them gets defeated by a single punch from Hulk.
** The same thing happens to another Leviathan during the final battle of ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', this time courtesy of Giant-Man.
* SpaceWhale: Leviathans are large creatures capable of surviving in space.

Added DiffLines:

* KillerGorilla: They are large-sized, vicious primate-like beasts literally called "Chitauri Gorillas", and they are part of [[BigBad Thanos]]'s army.

* CartoonishSupervillainy: And '''how'''. His simple genocidal motives (already done to death in many works of fiction), his unequivocal cruelty to everyone and everything and his ridiculously [[ChewingTheScenery over-the-top]] demeanor fit this trope to a tee.

* CartoonishSupervillainy: And '''how'''. His simple genocidal motives (already done to death in many works of fiction), his unequivocal cruelty to everyone and everything and his ridiculously [[ChewingTheScenery over-the-top]] demeanor fit this trope to a tee. However, the MCU successfuly plays it for drama, as there is ''nothing'' funny or amusing about Ronan and his actions.

* FakeUltimateMook: Despite being the elite of Thanos, Corvus and Proxima constantly have trouble defeating normal humans.[[spoiler: In ''Film/AvengersEndgame'', Corvus is killed as if he were a simple Mook, by Okoye.]] Maw isn't much better, as he was shown to be unable to defend himself from Strange throwing a dull concrete spike at him at subsonic velocity, meaning he'd probably have died instantly if someone pulled a gun on him. Only Cull is really worth anything, and even he [[spoiler:is shown to be far weaker than he initially looked when Giant-Man killed him in seconds.]]

* FakeUltimateMook: Despite being big and intimidating, they don't appear to be armed with anything besides SuperStrength, and their ArmorIsUseless. They score no notable kills in the final battle, and at one point Falcon effortlessly kills one by stabbing it with his carbon fiber wings (''after' knocking it over by bowling into it). It's not exactly surprising that they weren't deemed worth sending to Earth the first time around.
