The leader of Palutena's personal guard: though he is young, he is the greatest warrior angel in Palutena's forces. While Pit has wings, they're just for decoration. Usually he can't fly—it's a bit of a touchy subject.

* TheAce: It was said in game that he's the most competent member of Palutena's army, that's actually an understatement. He may not be able to fly on his own, but that hasn't stopped him from ''taking on entire armies by himself.'' In addition, he's literally gone through hell and back (as well as earth and space). Magnus notes that Pit is basically the only member of Palutena's army who can pull his own weight. During the course of ''Uprising'', he manages to kick the ass of literally ''everyone with a character portrait'' except for three people. [[labelnote:*]]Poseidon, Viridi, and Dyntos. But all three are justified for different reasons. Poseidon only showed up for Ch 7 to help Pit get to the Seafloor Palace and was never an enemy to begin with. For Viridi, circumstances in the plot forced the two of them to fight alongside each other rather than against each other. And Dyntos is implied to be even more powerful than Hades, who Pit could barely defeat without outside help.[[/labelnote]]

Later on when he's performing the trials to obtain the Great Sacred Treasure, Dyntos puts Palutena to sleep and pits a copy of her against Pit. Pit suffice to say is not pleased at all and ends up calling Dyntos out for this act. Thankfully his concern about this copy being the real comes to an end when the copy shows 'her' real face resulting in Pit being happy that he chose to attack. His victory taunt also shows how unimpressed he is with Dyntos for making a copy of Palutena, Dyntos was probably just amused. Upon learning from Viridi that the Chaos Kin was controlling Palutena, Pit becomes enraged.

** It's more justified in ''Uprising'' since Pit is on of the three strongest characters in the series[[labelnote:*]]Hades exceeds him without the Great Sacred Treasure and Dyntos exceeds them both. Along with everything else in the series, apparently.[[/labelnote]] and Palutena is a GlassCannon at best. Brought to horrifying clarity during the Chaos Kin battle, where Pit can kill Palutena '''by accident''' because she was between him and the Chaos Kin.
* BodyHorror: When Pit is turned into an eggplant or tempura it comes off as this given that he only has legs and can't really fight back. To make matters worse, he can be ''eaten alive'' if he's a tempura, which is one of the only instant KO's' in the game. And then Chapter 18 has him stuck in a ring.
* BodySurf: In Chapter 18, Pit goes from a little girl, to a dog, to Magnus before he manages to reunite with his own body.
* BoisterousBruiser: For the most part, Pit is very confident in his combat abilities and is not easily intimidated in battle.

He gets over it (for the most part) in the next chapter, but it doesn't change the fact that those words will probably stick with him for a long time.
** It gets worse. Chapter 19, Hades and Viridi constantly lay the smack down of insults on him, and without Palutena to support him, Pit progressively gets quieter with the chapter (but he does get louder when he's asking Viridi if he's at the top of the tower yet). And then comes Chapter 20, where some of his insecurities are let loose as Palutena continues to berate him for being useless and naive. When he finally saves her from the Chaos Kin, though, he has to watch as her soul is ripped out of her and she turns to stone. And when he spends chapter 21 trying to get it back and succeeds with the help of Dark Pit, the Chaos Kin wanted to make sure Pit suffered and tried to take Dark Pit down with him. Pit's response is to dive in and save him, causing his wings to burn up in the process. And even though chapter 23 treats Pit's SanitySlippage moment lightly, given what happened in the previous chapters, it's not hard to think he actually lost it.

He flies through the place searching for the Chaos Kin and once Viridi helps him find the real one, he becomes incredibly determined to defeat it even when his Power of Flight is running low on time. Then once on land, he completely tells Viridi that if the only way to defeat the Chaos Kin and save Palutena's soul is to endure several tedious battles that he would outlast all the enemies hurled at him. He does just that for at least half of the time until [[TheCavalry Dark Pit]] shows up to assist. Sure you can slow him down for some time using methods that may seem pretty sound, but Pit will eventually reach you while he's making his way to where you are located and take you out once he finds you.

Taken further in his final fight against Pit who is now using the Great Sacred Treasure, Hades true potential wasn't even achieved since he wasn't able to 'destroy the human settlements and consume their souls' to make himself stronger, literally meaning that Pit wasn't facing Hades at his [[OhCrap actual peak performance]].

To make up for a lack of speed to match, he appears to be absurdly durable as his fight against Phosphora lasts for nearly 80% of the entire air battle at the least and he just [[{{Determinator}} doesn't give up]]. Pit even comments that Thanatos is much faster than ever before and as it shows, the God of Death is able to keep pace with his opponent. In the end, the entire fight arguably worked out for Hades (being able to weaken the Forces of Nature by defeating their commander) since Thanatos can be revived by Hades, Phosphora is now at quite a disadvantage being heavily weakened since she has to retreat to recover. To put it forward, Thanatos fought Phosphora in an [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown intense match]] where they both fought with everything they had and he was just about the only counter that Phosphora possibly had at that point and managed to inflict enough damage to make the Forces of Nature weak enough to be defeated. Pit would later fight Phosphora when she was still critically weakened and not even at her best and win due to that factor although Phosphora knew that she wouldn't have the best time.

These Chapters also seem to have some importance too her quote from Chapter 16 when asked if she was 'helping' Pit, although there was Dark Pit in this case (it took both Pit and Dark Pit to defeat the Chaos Kin though) as he wasn't present in the Aurum Arc.]]

* CombatPragmatist: The Chaos Kin is not above hiding behind its possessed victims and then dragging the unexpected down with it off with it. It also loves attacking the characters from behind.

* FateWorseThanDeath: It is still alive as a pile of ash, and could only be revived by possessing Dark Pit. Fortunately, Pit was able to save him, leaving the Chaos Kin trapped inside the Chaos Vortex for all eternity.
* FragileSpeedster: It's a speedy demon that can throw many quick attacks at you, but it can't take that many hits in comparison, as it has fairly low health in its boss fight.
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: The Chaos Kin's idol description outright states that it is a mindless creature who possesses nothing but the desire to cause destruction.
* GetBackHereBoss: During the air segment of Chapter 21.
* KickTheDog: Leaves Pit stranded in an inanimate object for three whole years, kidnaps and brainwashes his goddess while doing so, proceeds to mock the very things he was raised to believe in right from the same mouth of said goddess, steals Palutena's soul when Pit frees her from his control, and finally tries to possess Dark Pit in a last ditch effort to revive itself and make Pit suffer. Its whole life is basically one long string of this.
* KnightOfCerebus: While Hades is cruel and callous, he is at least, enjoyable and entertaining. The Chaos Kin and its actions are taken much more seriously with no humor to balance it out.

* MadeOfIron: Even despite looking like an oversized bug and having low health in its boss battle, it is pretty resilient. Afterwards, it had another boss battle with Pit, but then survives being turned into ash and still made one last attempt to revive itself before it was too late for it. According to its Idol description, it's still alive, just trapped in the Chaos Vortex.
* MookMaker: To an insane degree. Notably, it creates copies of Aurum enemies that were already copies of the Forces of Nature. Pit and Viridi note this redundancy.
* NearVillainVictory: In the three years between chapters 17 and 18, its not only completely taken over Sky World and its forces, but has done more damage to the human world than even ''Hades'', even managing to temporarily turn Magnus against Pit.
* OmnicidalManiac: It simply desires disorder and destruction, nothing more.
* PuppeteerParasite: Takes control of Palutena while trying to feed on her soul.
* RecurringBoss: It's the primary target in Chapter 20's fight despite Palutena being the aggressor, you engage it in aerial combat for the second half of Chapter 21's Air Battle segment, and finally you get a formal boss battle against it at the end of 21.
* SealedEvilInACan: It was sealed inside the Lunar Sanctum. The green glow escaping at the end of Chapter 13 is actually the Chaos Kin. The idol of its ash form reveals that after its bout with Pit it's now contained in the Chaos Vortex in its weakened state.
* TheSpeechless: It can only talk when it's possessing someone.
* TacticalSuicideBoss: The first time you fight it, it will sometimes wrap itself around Palutena. If it just hung on to Palutena the whole time, it would've been impossible to defeat it. And then the second time you fight it, it will sometimes try to close in on you for a melee attack, but can be foiled by an electro trap.
* TakingYouWithMe: Once Pit exorcises it from Palutena, it decides to have the last laugh by ''stealing her soul''. And it does it again by trying to take Dark Pit down with it once the two manage to get Palutena's soul back, albeit this time in an attempt to revive itself later.
* ThinkingUpPortals: Can use its tail to cleave a portal into the Chaos Vortex.

To put it bluntly, he can recreate virtually anything and everything without any flaws for the most part[[note]]Pseudo-Palutena might be an exception[[/note]] and being able to make the copies of what he makes should they be enemies be far superior to their originals makes his actual power that's not seen even more frightening. The Great Sacred Treasure being his personal creation without it being based off of anything else as well as Pseudo-Palutena and the copy of the Immortal Phoenix, are three of his strongest creations and are no pushovers. He even managed to recreate [[OneHitKill '''ORNES''']], Underworld monsters that Pit can only defeat with the Arrows of Light and most definitely with the Great Sacred Treasure which according to Dyntos, far surpasses the Three Sacred Treasures in terms of sheer power. Yeah, Dyntos is by far the most realistically powerful being in Uprising. This isn't even getting to where Dyntos isn't really showing his true potential...seeing how Pit's battle against the recreated Space Kraken takes place in '''OUTER SPACE'''.
