* AmbiguousDisorder / MoodSwinger: As per Ren's narration of chapter 64 during Gensokyo 20XXIV, she seems to be suffering from a budding mental illness, which involves alternating between crying, screaming (in anger, that is) and laughing or experiencing a bizarre combination of all three at any given interval. Apparently, she does get better, eventually, though with some of it remaining.
** In Gensokyo 20XXV, chapter 54, it is revealed she suffers from catatonia and staring into nothing, muttering nonsensical or in what she used to communicate in. It was also noted that she seems to be afflicted with some kind of psychosis.

* AmbiguousDisorder: Being mentally unstable, she suffers from some sort of mental illness and is prone to wandering around,which occasionally involves searching for Ran like a lost pet, screaming at random periods (whether or not that is part of it is left up in the air), going ballistic at a moments notice (According to Amoridere), rambling madly, and generally incoherent most of the time, with very few times where she is coherent. Whether or not she is aware she is insane, is hard to say. By the time of Gensokyo 20XXV, she seems to have regained her sanity, aside from the bouts of AttentionDeficitOohShiny
* BecauseYouCanCope: Inverted, actually,as this is self imposed in Yukari's case. She opts to go without food as an effort to conserve food rations, stating she is used to it.

* AmbiguousDisorder: In Gensokyo 20XXIV. To a certain degree, being that she suffered from some kind of mental illness, the symptoms of which are hard to place but it is clear her symptoms aren't like any other depression and is somewhat on par with Post-Rape Syndrome and some sort of delirium disorder.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: In Gensokyo 20XXV, she is mentioned not be wearing shoes.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Amoridere's character art for her displays her without them

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Wren was mentioned not to be wearing shoes.

* KansaiRegionalDialect: Some of her speech fades in and out of this.

* KansaiRegionalDialect: Huzi speaks in a diluted one, which, true to most translations, it is [[UsefulNotes/AmericanAccents New-Yorkish]]

* UnexplainedAccent[=/=]UsefulNotes/AmericanAccents: She seems to be speak in a southern-ish accent in any of these incarnations. This could be interpenetrated as her speaking in [[TohokuRegionalAccent Tohoku-ben]] or some variation thereof.

* IllGirl: She died of an unknown and unnamed disease

* IllGirl: To some extent, having turned into a human with xeroderma pigmentosum

* IllGirl: Recently, in chapter 42 of Gensokyo 20XXII, Koiko has started to become this, as Satori notes that Koishi will need to see a doctor and get some medicine and, apparently, what is causing to fall ill is the fact that they were denied usage of any restrooms and had to go pretty much wherever, thus Koishi would have indubitably been under constant exposure to and, possibly, will have been eating [[labelnote:Note]]Satori did mention that there are times where Koishi thinks and, more often that not, times where she just goes by impulse[[/labelnote]] her own as well as everyone else's feces
** Sattie apparently becomes this.

* IllGirl: Yuuka notes that she hasn't been feeling very well, meaning, she might very well be ill with radiation sickness. It turns out she was.

* IllGirl: She was ill at first with radiation sickness but it disappeared. Later on, she dies of a long-term illness.

* IllGirl: Yu is noted to become one with a chronic illness towards the end of chapter 84. She passes away of said illness six chapters later

* IllGirl: Reimu was this during the final events of the first one and throughout the ending events, she has been plagued with colds, depression, and various other ailments, even lack of sleep and appetite, requiring her to take so many medications to no avail. Ultimately, she was hospitalized and the doctors did all they really could.
** Also, in ''Reimu's Illness'', she is a very critically ill one at that.
** She becomes this once again in Gensokyo 20XXV, after living in The Forbiddens for some time, and it was noted that she has been sick off and on.

* RapunzelHair: In Gensokyo 20XXV, her white hair grows longer than she is tall and, apparently, she doesn't want anyone to cut it.

* {{Meganekko}}: It is noted that Yume Ni was nearsighted and presently wearing glasses

* {{Meganekko}}:In Gensokyo 20XXV, She seems to require glasses from time to time, though this could be justified in that she probably needs them to read and see what it is she is writing.

* AdjustingYourGlasses: In Gensokyo 20XXV. She does wear them every once in awhile, more so when working as a landlady (implying she needs them to read or to see what she writes), and when she does wear them, she's adjusting them.

* [[OutnumberedSibling Outnumber Siblings]]: Biiko, Rika, Kumiko, Toki, and Fuyu are girls and Bunmei and Jin are boys.

* BeautyMark: Her human form has her with a mole.

* NotSoDifferent: In ''Foundling'', we have this with her and Reimu. She's a therianthrope (a "were-hakutaku" if you know canon) and, because of this, she doesn't really belong anywhere either, as, one end she's a human and, on another, when there's a full moon, she's a youkai.

* [[MeaningfulName Meaningful]] / UnfortunateName: As we learned, one of Ren's brothers is named UsefulNotes/{{Baka}} and Ren could never really figure out why and always thought it was because he wasn't very bright, though he also did note that, according to his father, that was the name only he responded to and the name stuck.
** There is Shibo, who is noted to be fat.
* NoNameGiven: Only three of Ren's siblings (Kinko, Shibo, and Baka) were given names, the rest and his father weren't.
** [[WordOfGod Word Of Goddess]] states that Ren has three other sisters, the which of their names are Mii, Yuko, and Ginko and he has one other brother named Ikki (typically called "Itchy" or "Fleabite").

** InterspeciesAdoption: Before Yukari turned them into yokai.
* InfantImmortality: Yukari finds a young Maribel and Renko in a devastated Tokyo and apparently they were the only two survivors there.

* FlowerInHerHair: Her Maplestory image displays this in her curly hair.

Yukari's fat friend and resident FatGirl. She is a champion sumo wrestler. Generally, she is good-natured and isn't at all quick to anger

* FatGirl: Definitely, though Amoridere stated that she is more of a BigBeautifulWoman.

* FatGirl: In Gensokyo 20XXIV, she becomes this in the aftermath of her being raped and, in chapter 60, where this was actually apparent, Yuuka makes note of the fact that it was hard to tell she wasn't pregnant but, also in the same vein, noted that maybe she was. Later on, though, she becomes FormerlyFat.
** In Gensokyo 20XXV, she is noted to have put on a bit of weight, leading for her to be MistakenForPregnant.

* AffectionateNickname: He's called "Winston" by Yuuka and that was when she didn't know his name, not that he minded, of course.
** In Gensokyo 20XXV, he is called "En-Ren"

* DevotedToYou: Reconstructed. He hasn't tried to pursue any other love but he is clearly devoted to his little indigo flower.

* HappilyMarried: Kind of, in that he isn't married to Ran, ''yet'', but both of them are content with and care each each other, enduring many of their hardships together.
** After Gensokyo 20XXIV, he and Ran do get married and are still HappilyMarried.
* [[spoiler:KilledOffForReal: Apparently, he died sometime before chapter 109, Gensokyo 20XXV, leaving a devastated Ran widowed]]

* MenCantKeepHouse: In Gensokyo 20XXV this is averted in that he does, after telling Ran (be noted, who hasn't eaten or slept in about four days) she should eat and go to bed, and, apparently, he did a fairly good job.

* NoNameGiven: Originally, He didn't have a name and was called, "Winston" by Yuuka and was known as such but it turns out he does have a name and his name is, Ren, as referred to in the title of and during chapter 17.

* {{Landlord}}: In Gensokyo 20XXV, after she brought the apartment building by trading her amethyst earrings for it. She is more less frustrated with the position, however, she does know that she'll have to make do with that as she did trade her earrings for the place.

* FragileFlower: She is noted to be emotionally fragile and displays behavior as such from time to time.

* IAmNotPretty: A [[TearJerker tearjerking]] variant in that she felt ugly because she was losing her hair to alopecia.

* ThoseTwoGuys: More so in ''Foundling'', as these two are usually never seen a part

* AbusiveParents: Kanako would beat her to vent frustrations during the events of Gensokyo 20XXI. Tragically, her situation with Kanako isn't too unlike most.

* YouNoTakeCandle / HulkSpeak: According to a recent update, when translated, one or two of her "Muh" sentences is more like this.
** Her more recent sentence is this, "Fuck you ass, Youmu do what want!"

* PosthumousCharacter: Somewhat.

* AnywhereButTheirLips: She is noted to be kiss people on their eyes, which is something the [[WriteWhoYouKnow author's then two-year old niece used to do]].

* {{Hikkikomori}}: In 20XXV, Miko for a justified reason, as she cannot see very well and hasn't familiarized herself with anything that isn't her apartment. She does state that she doesn't hope to remain like this, though, and seemed to be fairly happy when Chen comes over to invite her for dinner.

* FloralMotifs: Ren compares her to the calendula, a hardy but cheerful looking flower.
