* [[AbsurdlyYouthfulMother Absurdly Youthful Parents]]: Both of Tohka’s parents are much younger (biologically at least) than they appear due to a combination of their cellular aging being stopped by the First Spacequake, and the fact that Tohka was the result of an acidental TeenPregnancy.
* BuxomIsBetter: At least that's what Sakura's genetics believe, as Tohka inherited her curvy figure from her.

* BeautyMark: Like Mana, he one under his eye, but his is under his ''right'' eye.

* BiggerBad: He's the one that caused the conflict that made Westcott who he is now, and is why Westcott's managed to accomplish all he has. He also continues the threat of Westcott's final attack, forcing the Spirits to fight him.

* TheDragon: Despite being the BiggerBad, he's this to Westcott because they've merged their souls, which requires Westcott to do the actual work with him only supporting the head of DEM.
** DragonAscendant: When the Diabolus' destruction kills Westcott, he finally revives, allowing him to take over as the final threat of story.

* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: According to the author, this version of Choronzon was a mutation that gained autonomy due to being created by the power of multiple Spirits.

** Season 4 shows he made eight other races, and had them live in secret among Earth, in places only Mio would be able to access.

* GoodParents: Implied. While we never see her beyond some of Ryouko's flashbacks, Jessica joined the DEM afte rher death, and asked Mana if she'd see he in her final moments. Whatever their relationship was, Jessica had a positive view about her.

* CreatingLifeIsAwesome: He created Humanity, along with the Fairies, Gnomes, Dwarves, Elves, Imps, Beastmen, Dryads, Trolls, and Demons. Unfortunately, when he created the [[GoneHorriblyWrong Demons...]]

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: He had no idea so much would go wrong from creating the Demons, especially when he had created nine other races without any of them causing him problems.

* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: God never expected that one of the Demons he created to become capable of evolved into his EvilCounterpart.

A member of the DEM that acted as the producer that ruined Miku's career in an attempt for Westcott to control try controlling who'd become a Spirit. He tries to take over the DEM during the events of Kotori's arc, using Minerva to do his dirty work, with little luck.

* DeathByAdaptation: While his canon counterpart's status is uncertain at this point, he dies in this story.

Hiroto's girlfriend who he met and began dating sometime within the first quarter of 2052, soon joining Ratatoskr as a new field agent. While a newcomer to the adventures of the Spirits, she genuinely loves Hiroto, and wants to support him best she can.

* AscendedExtra: While not by much, she's the character known as Empty from Date A Bullet.
* CantSpitItOut: According to Shido, her feelings for Hiroto had been present since the Kurumi arc, but it wasn't until Saya gave her a little push she was able to confess.
* LastEpisodeNewCharacter: She appears in the last chapter of Season 3, it's currently unknown how much of a role she'll have in Season 4.
* NoNameGiven: When she first appears, we only know her as Hiroto's new girlfriend, it isn't until the Mayuri Judgment adaption that we learn her name.

Tohka's parents and technological developers from Ratatoskr, and the reason she met and fell in love with Shido. When everything went to hell from the First Spacequake, they were tasked with keeping Shido and Mana safe, but were believed to have been murdered when the DEM attacked their home, only later revealed to have just been put into stasis. After the DEM's true nature is exposed to the world, their pods are found and they’re awakened, reuniting with their daughter.

* TeenPregnancy: During a flashback, Sakura mentions she married Ren early, with Tohka quickly following, implying this is why they married young. WordOfGod confirms this as true.

* [[MumLooksLikeASister Mom Looks Like a Sister]]: Zig-zagged. At the beginning of the story, it would be easy to tell Haruko is simply Kotori’s mother, but after the latter’s OvernightAgeUp, they now look like sisters.

* KilledOffForReal: After finally restoring Mio's memories and explaining everything... his soul loses the last bit of strength, and passes on, but not before granted Seigo a delayed revival. WordOfGod confirms that despite him saying defeating the Devil will bring back everything his actions have destroyed, and revive the good people that have been lost... he's truly gone forever.

* OurGodsAreDifferent: Angels/Spirits are considered the same as Gods in the setting, according to WordOfGod.

* AmbiguousGender: While technically genderless like any Angel or Demon King, Choronzon is sometimes referred to as a male because he's indirectly considered Shido's Inverse Form.

* TheCorrupter: Tries to force Tohka into an Inversion, and he might have succeeded if Seigo hadn't helped Tohka unlock her Ethereal Form.
* EvilCounterpart: it's the Demon King counterpart of Rinne's Angel, Uriel.
* ForTheEvulz: The only reason he wants to destroy the world? Because he wants to, and thinks he can.

* KilledOffForReal: While his Demon King form reappears as Rinne's weapon in the Sephira Fury arc, the personality of this Choronzon doesn't manifest, proving he was killed beyond recovering as stated in Season 2.

* YourMindMakesItReal: Some of his powers came from the result of Shido's thoughts, a prime example being able to constantly revive a clone of Inverse Tohka through Shido's denial of seeing a hallucination of Tohka brutally murdered.

The mortal enemy of God, and the true source behind the events of not just everything from 30 years ago, but long before the history of human memory. After losing his body to God in a previous battle, he sets events to revive him, leading to Westcott accepting an offer to become his reincarnation. From that point on... the two do everything they can to make Earth into their new personal Hell.

* BiggerBad: He's the one that caused the conflict that made Westcott who he is now, and is why Westcott's managed to accomplish all he has.

** This has come into question as of the Mio Reminisce arc, where its shown Westcott may have not had any say in the matter.

* EldritchAbomination: The Mio Reminisce arc shows his original appearance was that a red humanoid with a lower body resembling a Centaur, neon yellow eyes, six arms and legs with dragon-like claws, and six black ram horns on his head .
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He fully intends to honor his deal with Westcott, considering the latter's willing to help him revive through his body... depending on how much of Westcott's actions are honestly his own.

* PosthumousCharacter: Zig-zagged, he lost his body, but he's merged with Westcott to revive himself. Yet his power hasn't reincarnated into the latter just yet, making it very hard to really saw how "dead" he actually is.
** By the Mio Reminisce arc, he's been officially set as being more alive than dead.
* {{Reincarnation}}: Through Westcott, he still needs to reincarnate his actual power into him, which is something Westcott is trying to achieve through his plans.

* TheVoiceless: For a time, the Devil was never heard speaking, with Westcott acting as his voice due to his merging with Westcott. As such, when we finally hear him [[TheDreaded speak...]]

* OurAngelsAreDifferent: Angels/Spirits are considered the same as Gods in the setting, according to Word of God.

* SpannerInTheWorks: Westcott indirectly uses him to start most of the series.
** He's the reason the Ethereal Form exists, due to his brotherly bond with Mio during her time as Reine, and his romantic love for Rinne.

The 10 surviving Angels from the war against Heaven and Hell, in the present day, they’ve become the Sephira Crystals that the Spirits inherited. Even then still live on in the form of the collective consciousnesses that manifest as each Spirit's Inverse half, becoming their guides after they achieve their Ethereal Forms.

* AstralProjection: Once they merge with their Angel, they can manifest themselves as small translucent projections of their respective Spirit’s Inverse Form.

* {{Reincarnation}}: The current Spirits (counting the Yamai sisters being twins) are their reincarnations, which is why they look identical to each other, and can manifest as projections of the Inverse Forms.

Kurumi's pet kitten who first appears in her arc, being the kitten she saves from those thugs, he's officially introduced in ''Date A Re:Live - Encore'' where he's since been named and healed up by Ratatoskr.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Macaron often seems to disappear before showing up again, justified because he doesn't have any large role overall. His appearances usually happen in side stories, especially the Encore stories.

* TokenGoodTeammate: Being the Angel of Mercy, Zadkiel ended up wanting to help Yoshino, so she took the form of Yoshinon, and eventually gave her the ability to Inverse freely. When this began doing more harm than good, she slowly vanished until Yoshino learned that she didn't need her to be strong.

** The fact Zadkiel was Yoshinon also qualifies as this.

!Hibiki Higoromo/Hina Shinigami

** Subverted as of the crossover, where she's revealed to be Shinigami's younger sister, Hina Shinigami.
* BackFromTheDead: She died of a terminal illness 20 years ago, but when Shinigami recreated her body, she was revived because she had an ability that let her reincarnate with all her memories.
* BigDamnHeroes: Dives in from her world to save her big sister by giving Azrael a very painful EyeScream.

* LastEpisodeNewCharacter: She appears in the last chapter of Season 3, it's currently unknown how much of a role she'll have in Season 4. She ends up getting a major role in the crossover, where her connection to Shinigami's backstory is the entire reason the crossover's events even happen.
* MeaningfulRename: After reincarnating, and especially after her sister sheds her original name, the name Hibiki Higoromo has since become her official name in her eyes.

* NonElemental: Her powers are this, just being normal Reiryoku.
* NotAsYouKnowThem: This version of Hibiki's real name is Hina Shinigami, the reincarnated younger sister of the crossover's main antagonist, Shinigami.
* SecretKeeper: That she knows Shinigami, being her younger sister back when she was the boy named Riku Shinigami. She tries sharing this with Mana, but is [[TheUnreveal disconnected from her]] before she can reveal anything, and only able to reveal it when she reunites with the others.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Ends up being the one who stops Shinigami by revealing she's alive, as her death was the reason Shinigami fell onto the dark path she was in during the crossover.
* SymbioticPossession: How she describes the method she uses to talks to Mana while she's in Shinigami's world, though it can be interfered with, as she was disconnected with Mana during a conversation she had with her. She loses this power when Azrael leaves her sister, due to how her new body's powers were made.
* TheUnreveal: While the members of Ratatoskr hear what she tried to tell Mana, what she actually told them wasn't revealed until near the end of the crossover, said reveal being that she's the younger sister of Shinigami.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Her death pushed Shinigami to a point she almost caused the destruction of [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt every world.]]

* [[MumLooksLikeASister Mom Looks Like a Sister]]: Due to the locking of their cellular aging, Sakura looks like she’s actually Tohka’s sister. This is even [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] by Shinigami upon seeing her for the first time in 30 years.

** They can also help other souls do this, with Sandalphon giving both Albion and Ddraig this ability during the crossover.

The clone of Tohka that appeared during the events of the Choronzon Havoc arc, and the most dangerous of them due to Shido indirectly giving Choronzon the means to constantly resurrect her, making it very hard to permanently defeat her.

* BackFromTheDead: During the crossover, she's revived from Tohka's new Sephira Trinity ability, and now fights on Ratatoskr's side.
* DarkIsNotEvil: After her HeelFaceTurn, due to her powers as an Inverse Spirit.
* TheDragon: Could be seen as this to Choronzon, being the only Inverse Spirit clone he could revive, and trying to force Tohka into an Inversion.
* HeelFaceTurn: When revived by Tohka's Sephira Trinity, the first thing she does is assure her that she's not her enemy anymore, most likely the result of Tohka having since restoring Sandalphon's faith in Humanity.
* MeaningfulRename: When working for Chorozon, she's just called Inverse Tohka, but upon reviving from the dead, she now calls herself Nahemah as her way of showing she's no longer fighting for evil.
* PlotArmor: Because Shido kept refusing to believe the hallucination of Tohka dying in front of him, Choronzon was able to use the memory to keep reviving her each time Tohka killed her, and only being slain for good after Tohka achieves her imperfect Ethereal Form.

The main antagonist of the crossover story, first appearing through events in the Mayuri Judgment adaption, an androgynous Spirit who represents Death and seems to have a goal that's based solely on causing it for all life. Her actions kick-start the crossover by kidnapping Mana, forcing Shido and his harem to follow to go after Shinigami to rescue them.

Near the end of the crossover, the reveal that Shinigami is a childhood friend of the Takamiya siblings, and Tohka, know as ''Riku Shinigami''. Once they do, she reveal that everything she's doing is because because she just wants to die, but can't due to being immortal... something that all began upon the death of her younger sister, Hina Shinigami.

* AchillesHeel: Her inability to feel pain has some disadvantages to it, such as having no way of knowing when her body's nearing its limits. Nia quickly points this out to the others upon realizing it.
** Because her powers are like the Inverse Form without actually being in it, she likely has no way to truly counter the Ethereal Form, which is why the Quasi-Spirits and their summoned beasts are able to be harmed by them. This is subverted when the Summon Beast Kaiju is immune to the Ethereal Forms' abilities.
* AmbiguousGender: Shinigami, when she was still Riku, was a boy. However, upon bonding with the Azrael Crystal, she turned into a girl. Yet according to WordOfGod, she's a boy with a female body, and could still give children like any boy could.
* AntiMagic: Doesn't possesses it herself, but is apparently knowledgeable in it, creating the Quasi-Spirits' powers to [[MageKiller counter]] the Sephira Spirits' powers, and abilities.
* BerserkButton: Apparently, trying to harm Mana in any way is this for her, as Tsuan quickly discovered. She later reveals this is because Mana reminds her of her little sister, tough it's also later implied it was because of her being extremely close to her during her days as Riku.
* BloodyMurder: Shinigami's power as a Spirit, she can manipulate her own blood as a weapon. She can do the same with blood not her own, but only if its blood that's not inside a living being. She loses this power when Azrael leaves her.
* CrazyPrepared: She gained allies, created powers for said allies to counter the Spirits, and then separated Shido from his harem so they'd be defenseless. The only thing Shinigami didn't account for was the Spirits gaining allies from another world that could help them, and the Ethereal Form.
** She watches Issei and Shido's fight to learn more about the former's power, and once her Angel learns about Trihexa, uses the knowledge it gives her to prepare countermeasures for his, Vali's, and their allies abilities.
** As both Shido and Vali's allies start to reunite into a single group, she has the Quasi-Spirits fight them to gather information to try and stop them for good, but also to create counters for them if they fail to win. She uses this to create the Summon Beast Kaiju, which is able to counter all their powers at the time of its formation.
* CompleteImmortality: The reason for her goal to destroy all worlds. She's survived not just every form of suicide, but the destruction of an entire world, and still lived through it. She believes that by destroying every world, she can finally walk around this, and finally kill herself.
* DarkIsNotEvil: After her RedemptionDemotion, she only has Dark Reiryoku, but is one of the few to use it for heroic reasons.
* DeathSeeker: She eventually reveals to Mana that her ultimate goal is to destroy her world, all for the sake of killing herself, [[ICannotSelfTerminate something she's failed to do by every other mean.]]
* DespairEventHorizon: Has faced this over eight times, all of which eventually lead her to become Shinigami in the present.
** Her ''First'' Despair was seeing her parents die during the first wave of Spacequakes.
** Her ''Second'' Despair was when an abusive couple adopted her and Hina, making her their slaves as she suffered constant abuse, little food, and not even a proper place to sleep.
** Her ''Third'' Despair was when Hina was diagnosed with a terminal illness
** Her ''Fourth'' Despair was learning that said abusive parents were going to pull the plug on the Hina's treatment, and was what lead to...
** Her ''Fifth'' Despair was being forced to cause her first kills, murdering the couple, and making it look like a double suicide.
** Her ''Sixth'' Despair was learning that despite a cure for Hina's illness was about to be made, she was going to die a day before it could be finished, and administered to her.
** Her ''Seventh'' Despair was her attempts to buy Hina more time, and failing, followed by being unable to take her own life and joining her.
** Her ''Final'' Despair was when Hina finally passed on, and the day she shed her original name.
* TheDreaded: While Shinigami does care for the Quasi-Spirits, she will threaten to put them to "near-death" if she feels they're acting out of line. This claim alone is enough to make them shape up.
** She's the only Spirit that Westcott ever decided to not go after, realizing after the only attempt to capture her that she was too dangerous, and had the DEM treat her like she didn't even exist. Justified by how easily she slaughtered a team of 500 wizards he sent after her.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: The crossover reveals very early that Shinigami's parents were two of the 6 billion casualties from the first 50 Spacequakes, and she saw them disappear before their very eyes.
** The final straw that turned Shinigami into the Spirit she is today was the death of her younger sister, Hina Shinigami.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Shinigami takes this UpToEleven, being the most moral villain in the entire series. When Yui reveals her failure to kill Tohka due to unexpected variables, Shinigami simply warns the others to be prepared for the same variables.
** When the Quasi-Spirits start to have doubts over their DeathSeeker tendencies, she tells them she won't stop them. That being said, she won't just let them stop her, and takes their Summon Beasts away before sending them to where Mana was currently located.
* EvilCounterpart: To Mio in role, being a Spirit whose normal form is the same as one of the Sephira Spirits' transformations (the Inverse Form in this case), while also being the progenitor of the Quasi-Spirits' powers.
** Shinigami is also one to Shido in a more direct manner, as both of their actions in the crossover are linked to Mana, and they're both the leaders of their respective groups.
* FeelNoPain: One of Shinigami's powers causes her to be unable to feel physical pain, although unlike most examples of this tropes, the author states she is aware of downsides to it.
* {{Foil}}: To Shido, both of them care for their allies like a family, and they disagree with Westcott's belief that bonds are meaningless. They both are the older brothers to younger sisters. The different between them is that Shinigami became a girl ''permanently'', and fell to despair after her sister died. Whereas Shido stayed hopeful with Mana, who stayed alive, and he can swap genders without restriction.
* FourIsDeath: Fitting into her death motif, her parents were killed by the '''fourth''' of the first 50 Spacequakes.
* FusionDance: A power example. Azrael was born from the combination of the first bit of Dark Reiryoku merged with normal Reiryoku, and Trihexa's power.
* GenderBender: She used to be a guy, but when the Azrael Crystal bonded with her, she was permanently transformed into a girl.
* GenreSavvy: Quickly realizes that Yui may have run into a problem when she returns through one of her ninja tricks, which is something she rarely needs to do.
** When she encounters Shido, Tohka, Vali, and Issei after the four meet up, she states that she won't try to fight them. Not because she's mocking them by implying she's too strong, but because has no idea what the full capabilities of latter two are.
* GracefulLoser: While trying to do everything to achieve her goals, she admits that if she loses, then it just means her wish to die was weaker than everyone's will to live. That being said, she still doesn't want to lose.
* HeelFaceTurn: Realizing that Hina was revived, and then words from her old friends, finally let her find the solace she had been searching for, and she regains her will to live.
* InsistentTerminology: She is ''not'' genderless, and will not allow anyone go label her as an "it."
* KarmaHoudini: She [[LaserGuidedKarma murdered the abusive couple that adopted her]], and made it look like a double suicide. No one ever managed to find out she had killed them.
* KickTheSonOfABitch: She prefers killing these kinds of people, but she will kill those who are innocent if she's truly given no choice, something Ayame can confirm firsthand. Many of the Quasi-Spirits joined her for dealing these to the people who caused their tragedies.
** Her first instance of doing this was killing the abusive couple that had adopted her, but only after they threatened to leave her most important person to die by pulling the plug on their treatment.
** She's done this to quiet a lot of people who caused the sad stories of the other Quasi-Spirits.
* LivingEmotionalCrutch: Her younger sister, Hina, was this. The day she died was the event that led Shinigami into becoming who she was during the crossover's events.
* MeaningfulName: Shinigami is a term for Japanese death gods, the central theme of Shinigami's character and abilities.
** This is also the case for Shinigami's Angel, with Azrael being the "Angel of Death" in the bible.
* MeaningfulRename: After pulling her HeelFaceTurn, she decides not to take back her old name, deciding that it was the name truly linked to having Azrael, so takes a HeroicVow by calling herself Shinigami once more. This time though, she also takes her little sister's new last name, becoming Shinigami Higoromo.
* NonElemental: After losing Azrael, her powers are this, just being normal Dark Reiryoku.
* OfficialCouple: Becomes this with Mana, despite that the Quasi-Spirits are also included due to being her own harem.
* [[OrcusOnHisThrone Orcus On Her Throne]]: Shinigami doesn't act until the end of the crossover, if only to make proper counters against the heroes, trying to maximize her chances of victory. Despite this, she proves to be one of the most dangerous opponents that either group has faced to date.
* PowerDyesYourHair: A few times. When she first gained her powers, her hair changed from as her sister's to black, and changed back to its original color upon releasing the restraints on her full power. However, after resolving to start over as Shinigami, it turns black again, and stays that way.
* RedemptionDemotion: After pulling a HeelFaceTurn, the Azrael Crystal leaves her, only surviving due to being immortal, and taking over as the crossover's true antagonist. This demotes her strength into that of a Quasi-Spirit, though one that can only use Dark Reiryoku.
* SinisterScythe: Azrael's true form.
* SomethingOnlyTheyWouldSay: A slip up by her causes Mana to realize who Shinigami is, making her realize Shinigami was Riku, enough that Mana was initially unable accept that they were the same person.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Shinigami is the reason for Westcott's inability to act after the Sephira Fury, and the entire reason for the events of the Mayuri Judgment arc.
* ThatManIsDead: After losing the most important person to her, Shinigami shed her first name, becoming the deadly Spirit she is today.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: Believes in this greatly, even having a genuine bond with each of the Quasi-Spirits, and insulting Westcott for believing that they're worthless. This is one of the few things that show there's still good left in her.
* TheseHandsHaveKilled: She's killed a lot of people, and intends to destroy every world, which will cause everyone to die.
* TragicVillain: Her whole character, and she knows very well everything she does makes her a villain.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: She's the entire reason for Rizevim's plans for Trihexa in the "Heavenly Dragon" series, having ended up on its world after a failed attempt to die by destroying her world. While mentioning about other worlds, she and Azrael failed to notice Euclid was in earshot...

!The Eleven Quasi-Spirits

A group of 11 girls who are both Spirits, and not Spirits at the same time, that aid Shinigami for wanting to end their lives, but not through suicide so they die feeling they "beat" the world, instead of it beating them. Their names are Rinemu, Tsuan, Aiai, Furue, Sheri, Panie, False, Ayame, Isami, Mizuha, and Yui.

* AchillesHeel: The Ethereal Forms are able to bypass the immunity they have to their respective Spirits.
* AntiArmor: Tsuan's signature weapon has the power to bypass all defenses, including that of an Astral Dress as Kurumi learned... twice.
* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Rinemu asks the other Quasi-Spirits if it's wrong she suddenly wants to live, causing them to be uanble to clearly answer. She layers it on again shortly after, adding if their familial bond is an excuse, something she doesn't agree with. These questions cause the other Quasi-Spirits to start doubting themselves, and make them realize how Shinigami had given them all reasons to live without knowing it.
* AscendedExtra: All of them are the Quasi-Spirits from the first two Date A Bullet volumes, with only Hibiki/Empty not part of their team, and the White Queen simply a manifestation used by Tsuan's Summon Beast.
* BattleHarem: Are pretty much this for Shinigami, as stated by WordOfGod.
* BerserkButton: While the others' reactions to such a claim are unknown, Ayame does not take Mana's claim that Shinigami is controlling them very kindly, and makes sure to let her know it.
* BreakTheCutie: Panie is this, having been tormented by others just for being very cute, the moment Shinigami saved her from that nightmare... her cold expression showed how much damage these events did to her.
* ChildhoodFriends: Tsuan and Mukuro knew each other when they both lived in China, but were separated when Mukuro's parents threw her aside, causing the events that lead her to Mildred's family.

* DeathSeeker: Every one of them. The main reason they want to aid Shinigami's plans to destroy every world is because they want to die, but they don't want to let the world know it beat them by committing suicide.
* DoomedHometown: How Shinigami, Tsuan, and Ayame met Rinemu. This town not only happens to have become the Third World's "Ruined City" area, but it's even the same one that Yoshino came from.

* GenkiGirl: Rinemu is quite energetic.
* HairTriggerTemper: Tsuan seems to snap pretty easily, trying to attack Mana just for screaming demands upon waking up. Aiai is the same, though slightly less than Tsuan.
* HeelFaceTurn: After Mana talks some sense into them, after Shinigami leaves them to finish her plans once and for all, they finally realize tht Shinigami had given them reason a live, and all resolve to save them.
** Rinemu and Tsuan both do this long before the others because they realize this sooner, reflecting how both are Kurumi's allies in Date A Bullet's second volume.
* HeelRealization: Mio causes Rinemu to realize that Shinigami gave her a reason to live, and she never realized it, enough that Rinemu no longer wants to be a DeathSeeker like she had before.
** After Rinemu gives the others her ArmorPiercingQuestion, the others seem to be on the way to making one as well. Tsuan is the first to do this upon learning of Mukuro being alive, and after meeting Mana, the others finally do the same.
* IdolSinger: This is what Rinemu's outfit is described as, while her powers are using the choreography and dancing of one to create a multitude of effects.
* LargeHam: A lot of Sheri's sentences seem to end with exclamation points, and her choice of words can be pretty playful. Her backstory reveals the reason is much sadder in nature because it was a result of trying to wake her deceased parents in vain, hoping they'd hear her.
* {{Mage Killer}}s: With the exception of Shido (who simply borrows his harem's power), each of the Quasi-Spirits was given a power made by Shinigami to counter one of the Sephira Spirits.

* MeaningfulName: They're called ''Quasi''-Spirits because they're not true spirits, evident by the fact they can switch between Human eyes and Spirits eyes at will.
** False chose her name because her bandaged form could make her appear as Shinigami to those who haven't met her, and because she serves under Shinigami with full loyalty.

* TheQuietOne: Yui says very few words to describe the situation she's in or witnesses. Luckily, Shinigami is always able to understand what she means. Her backstory reveals she never fully learned how to talk before her tragedy occurred, and was likely too traumatized afterwards to do so.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: The only thing they have in common is they all fight for Shinigami's sake, Shinigami even considers them her family.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Rinemu came from the same town that Yoshino was from, though its unknown if they knew each other since they've yet to meet each other, though it's at least implied Yoshino has seen her before.
** It turns out Mukuro and Tsuan were friends before the events that brought her to Japan.
* ScarsAreForever: The bandages False wears aren't just for show, she's got scars and burn marks over her entire body, leaving her whole body a scarred mess.
* SirSwearsALot: Downplayed. While Tsuan is like this when she fights Kurumi, WordOfGod states this was the result of her having been unable to fight before now, and she normally doesn't swear like this, or with some of the words she used.
** Aiai can be like this when she's mad, though she swears less than Tsuan.
* TheSocialDarwinist: A downplayed example, but Tsuan thinks that if you're too weak, then you won't survive. Considering what happened with Mukuro who she thought ended up dead, and her life in the slums, it isn't hard to see why she believes this.
* SummonMagic: Each of them can use their powers to summon a beast to fight on their behalf if needed, and these beasts are also able to counter the same Spirit that their powers come from. They lose this power for good when Shinigami takes it away to make the Summon Beast Kaiju.
* TheseHandsHaveKilled: Tsuan has killed over a 100 people, and had blood on her hands as early as a child due to her life in the slums.
* UndyingLoyalty: Ayame makes it clear to Mana they are ''not'' puppets to Shinigami, and are aiding her of their own choice.
** Out of all of them, Rinemu's loyalty is the strongest, to the point that when Mio makes her realize how much Shinigami means to her... she wants to try and find a way to save her from her pain.
* UnskilledButStrong: Compared to Tsuan, Aiai only has strength, making her this. That said, she's still dangerous since she's meant to counter Mukuro's powers.

* MookMaker: Creates smaller, whiter versions of his body, as minions that are called the "Demise Guardians".
* OpenMouthInsertFoot: After somehow turning Shinigami into a girl due to being an abnormal Angel, she asks what gender she was... [[LaserGuidedKarma Shinigami steps on him.]]
