** In a cutscene after level 1 of Jedi Knight, he gets shot by a TIE Bomber. It doesn't leave much of a mark on him, and he still feels up to th task of going through another level barely a minute afterwards, though he does end up spending some time in the medbay of a New Republic ship after Jan gets him away from Nar Shaddaa.

* PreFinalBoss: You fight him immediately before the FinalBoss fight with Jerec, and his fighting style seems more based around dragging the fight out and delaying you rather than outright trying to overwhelm and kill you.

* DeathFromAbove: He'll occasionally leap high into the air and rain down Force Destruction on you.

Added DiffLines:

* DamageSpongeBoss: She's got more than twice as much health as any of the earlier Dark Jedi and takes 38 light strikes or 12 heavy strikes from your lightsaber to bring down. Even Boc isn't quite as durable as she is.

Added DiffLines:

* DamageSpongeBoss: Jerec takes a lot of hits to bring down. On Medium difficulty it takes 40 light strikes or 13 heavy strikes from your lightsaber to kill him, plus he'll periodically run off to use the Valley's power to heal himself.

* FinalBoss: Kyle's final trial in Dark Forces II is a DuelToTheDeath with Jerec. He's got a ton of health (more than twice as much as Gorc & Pic or Maw) and is the only Dark Jedi to really mix saber combat and Force powers at the same time.

* CantCatchUp: If you fight him a second time , he'll have twice as much health as before, but otherwise hasn't improved in any meaningful way and can be cut down quite easily. Even with boosted health he's still half as durable as Sariss, and a much less formidable duelist.

* WarmUpBoss: The first boss, and takes easily the least hits to beat. He's got nearly half as much health as the next few Dark Jedi you'll face and goes down in just a few successful heavy strikes. He's mostly there to get you used to lightsaber duel combat.

* DashAttack: If you get too far away from him, he'll occasionally charge at you and try to slam into you.

* GlassCannon: He's got pretty good offense, but in each phase he runs away after only a couple of successful heavy strikes, so that by his final phase it only takes a couple of heavy strikes to kill him.

He's got a little more health than Gorc or Pic, but since this is divided between his 3 phases in each individual fight he can take even fewer hits than Yun.

* MasterSwordswoman: A talented lightsaber combatant. In combat she forgoes the more gimmicky combat styles used by Gorc & Pic, Maw, and Boc, or the heavy usage of offensive Dark Side powers used by Boc and Jerec, and focuses more on straightforward swordplay. She usually only uses her Deadly Sight if Kyle gets too far away from her instead of dueling her at close range. Her lightsaber attacks also hit up to twice as hard as the earlier bosses.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: In the books she's stunned and shocked about and confused about what happened.

* MindOverMatter: At close range he'll periodically use the Force to shove you back several feet. It's not as potent as Force Push from Jedi Outcast[=/=]Jedi Academy but it can be annoying.

* MeaningfulName: Yun's name is pronounced like "young", and he's the youngest and least corrupted of the Dark Jedi.

* BFS: Due to his immense stature, Gorc wields a lightclub, a massively oversized lightsaber with an overlong blade. While he has impressive reach, he doesn't actually do more damage than normal, unlike the later bosses whose lightsabers hit much harder despite being normal sized.

* EvilOldFolks: Rahn's narration implies that Maw is on the older side, though age hasn't reduced his physical power thanks to ThePowerOfHate.

* GlassCannon: He's got pretty good offense, but in each phase he runs away after only a couple of successful heavy strikes, so that by his final phase it only takes a couple of heavy strikes to kill him.
* GoombaStomp: If you drop to the lower level in the second phase of the fight, he'll sometimes try to cannonball onto your head from above and deal damage.

* CombatPragmatist: At one point near the end of the game, Kyle witnesses Desann and Luke fighting in the base of Cairn: rather than prolonging the duel or trying to finish Luke off, Desann disengages as soon as he can and drops a whole ceiling between the two of them before making a run for the Doomgiver.

* PowerFloats: He flies around, implied to be powered by his own hatred. This makes him faster and more maneuverable than a bipedal opponent and also means he won't fall off ledges, which often comes up since he duels you on a narrow walkway at several points in the fight.
