Added DiffLines:

* CrazyPrepared: Has multiple anti-Robo contingency plans as a "just in case" measure.
-->'''Foley:''' Wait, ''plans''? ''Plural?''

* SuperiorSuccessor : What Robo hopes he will be. This Alan was Alan before Turing turned him on and before he was warped by years of isolation. As Robo stated Alan "You're Alan from before the Darkness. You're what turing wanted". Time will tell if Robo is correct but so far Alan is turing out to be a chip off the old block of metal.

Added DiffLines:

* ItsPersonal: For Robo in a unique way. He doesn't have the history with ALAN that he does with others like Edison or Helsingard but it's ALAN's nature and existence that shakes Robo so deeply. Up to that point, Robo was the only true sentient AI that had existed in the world as other sentient mechanical beings were like the copies of Helsingard and imprints from a human personality or based on humans in some way. ALAN was another AI like Robo that started completely blank and learned to be self aware over time. But ALAN's callous, cold, and inhuman nature is almost diametrically opposed to [[BenevolentAI Robo's]] [[RediculouslyHumanRobot nature]]. ALAN was for Robo the fear of what their kind could be given life and the lost chance of finding another being just like him that he could befriend and share similar expereinces with. Robo admits that long after destroying ALAN, he still had trouble dealing with ALAN's existence and what ALAN was while mourning over what ALAN could have been.

** Robo and Edison are butter enemies which is due in part to the antagonistic relationship Edison had with Tesla.

to:

** Robo and Edison are butter bitter enemies which is due in part to the antagonistic relationship Edison had with Tesla.Tesla. Robo has never been able to beat Edison without the help of Tesla and Edison is, in the comic, shown to be just a brilliant and dangerous as Tesla was. Edison really hates Robo because Robo not only ruin his experiment to gain the secret of immortality but the end result was Edison being transformed into an undead specter and brought back over 70 years later, furious because everything he knew or cared for was gone. Edison screamed at Robo "You shouldn't have brought me back!!!" and it's almost certain that, in due time, Edison will show Robo why it was a bad idea to have resurrected him.
** PlayedForLaughs with Dr.Dinosaur. Both of them hate one another intensely and have fought many times. But unlike the serious nature of the other arch enemies Robo has, his Feud with Dr.Dinosaur is downright petty. Of course it's Dr.Dinosaur's Pettiness that enrages Robo so much.

Added DiffLines:

* ItsPersonal: Robo's lived a long time and made lots of enemies. Some of them he hates much more than others because of something they did to him or them enacting revenge on Robo for something he's done to them.
** Robo and Edison are butter enemies which is due in part to the antagonistic relationship Edison had with Tesla.

Added DiffLines:

* ScrewySquirrel: While sometimes Dr.Dinosaur can be a NotSoHarmlessVillain, often he is this to Robo. While other enemies of Robo are more dangerous because of their deviousness and ManipulativeBastard tendencies, none can claim to have truly bested or beaten Robo yet Dr.Dinosaur who is a complete lunatic seems to humilate and show Robo up time and time again. The biggest thing that seperates Dr.Dinosaur as an ArchEnemy of Robo is that often Robo has no idea what his goal and can't figure out how to stop Dr.Dinosaur. Dr.Dinosaur is also cunning an not to be underestimated which Robo repeatedly does.

[[folder:[[spoiler:Alan]]
!!Alan Turing 2
* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: Just like Robo, he's an automatic intelligence. Unlike his previous self, he's being raised right this time with plenty of social interaction and a father figure who's been down the same road he's himself is travelling now. Alan can laugh at jokes, make them, and is very happy to interact with others and learn new things.

* GoMadFromTheIsolation: Robo believed that ALAN became so warped because it was kept in the dark for decades without anyone to interact with or any way to socialize. A variation of this trope as, unlike a social animal, ALAN didn't need interaction with others to function but also never learned to place any importance of knowledge beyond having it. He never learned, as Robo did, how wonderful having companions and living with others could be and so never placed importance on anything beyond its practical and empirical value.

Added DiffLines:

* TheBusCameBack: Returns after a long absence, apparently spending some time in the vampire dimension.

[[folder:Scottie]]
!!James Milligan

A Scottish WWII commando. Rescued Robo from being used as a power source for Otto Skorzeny's Weather Cannon.

Added DiffLines:

* AcePilot: Downplayed: while we only ever see Scottie fly one vehicle, that vehicle was still a [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flettner_Fl_282 Kolibri synchrocopter]], so credit to him.
* BraveScot: In his line of work, it'd be more of a surprise if he weren't.
* FunetikAksent: Just about everything he says is a nigh-incomprehensible Scottishism. Even ''Robo'' is confused.
-->'''Scottie:''' Yer lookin' a wee bit peely-wally, eh?\\
'''Robo:''' [[FlatWhat What?]]\\
'''Scottie:''' Le's shoot the craw, aye?\\
'''Robo:''' Is this some kind of secret commando code they didn't tell me about?
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While he does throw a few insults Robo's way, he still helps him escape Skorzeny's tower, and shares a moment with him after [[ItMakesSenseInContext Robo manages to crawl across the sea floor back to land]].
* ShoutOut: A Scotsman with a heavy accent nicknamed Scottie? [[Franchise/StarTrek Sounds familiar...]] For an added bonus, James Doohan, the original Scottie, was a WWII soldier as well.

Yes, ''that'' Thomas Edison.

Added DiffLines:

* EnragedByIdiocy: Most of the time it's subdued by Robo hates it when people act without common sense or thinking things through. Most of the time he only shows minor irritation and expresses it through snark. It's only when people are being really stupid to the point of being GenreBlind that he starts to lose it.
** This is one of the reasons why Robo '''HATES''' Dr.Dinosaur with a buring passion. Dr.Dinosaur is a moron [[GeniusDitz (though a clever and cunning moron)]] and yet [[InexplicablyAwesome in spite of]] or perhaps even [[CrazyAwesome because of his stupidity,]] he continuously gets the upper hand on Robo, proves Robo wrong, or otherwise humiliates Robo. It's like the universe created Dr.Dinosaur specifically to drive Robo crazy.

Added DiffLines:

* TwitchyEye: Anytime Robo has to deal with Dr.Dinosaur. It's gotten so bad that all someone has to do is mention Dr.Dinosaur might be up to something that Robo will have to deal with is enough for Robo's eye to twitch.

Added DiffLines:

* TormentByAnnoyance: While he would like to destroy Robo, Dr.Dinosaur is perfectly willing to get back at Robo in the most petty, dickish ways possible like creating a high tech computer rig just to continuously spam the inboxes of everyone at Tesladyne.

Added DiffLines:

* LegacyCharacter: Later in life, she follows in her father's footsteps as a gun-toting vigilante.

Added DiffLines:

* EnergyBeings: Abuse of the Zero Point technology turns him into an insane, incorporeal being of [[PhysicalGod immense power]].

** Nobody knows quite how Robo works - not even him. Sure, he's replaced nearly everything over the years - he's had to due to his [[InHarmsWay chosen lifestyle]] - but ''no one'' has ''any'' idea how his atomic heart or his automatic brain works. The latter breaking would obviously mean his FinalDeath, but when the former finally breaks after almost a hundred years of operation, all possible replacements leave his power output so low he's sidelined - and stuck with ridiculous replacements like the Jameson body from Manga/GhostInTheShell. It's stated that even [[http://www.atomic-robo.com/atomicrobo/v10ch3-page-7a creating the materials]] needed to replace it with something not made by Tesla won't be possible without late-VideoGame/MetalGear-level {{Nanomachines}}.

** When he does finally get a replacement heart, it's still a BlackBox; [[spoiler: Phil ends up going to the physical remains of ALAN.
