The leader of New Light, as well as the eldest member of their group. Her Steel Glove combined with her Soul Arm Gjallarhorn draw power from Thor, which allows her to use the lightning-god's weapons.

A member of New Light whose life is saved by Touma over the course of several events. Feeling indebted to her "savior", she dedicates her energy to successfully convincing him to serve England by any means necessary. In addition to her Steel Glove, she wields a Soul Arm in the form of a metal dragon tail to provide her with extra dexterity and movement support.

A member of New Light. She is the driver of the group, [[ImprobableAge despite being only 15 years old]] and uses a Soul Arm in the form of dragon wings on her back for flight in conjecture with her Steel Glove.

* BoobsOfSteel: She's the most noticeably stacked of her sisters and physically the most capable in combat.

* YoungerThanTheyLook: You wouldn't know from his height, mannerisms or smoking habit, but he's only ''fourteen''. In other words, Stiyl is actually younger than Touma and around the same age as Index. This is {{justified|Trope}} however, as the reason why he looks so old was due to a miscommunication between Kamachi and Haimura; Stiyl's first confrontation with Touma in Kamachi's notes was supposed to be something of an [[MagicVersusScience Old vs New]] (which Haimura literally took it as "[[LiteralMinded old man vs. young boy]]") disregarding that Stiyl is only ''14'', but Haimura still went with the character design since he believed that the [[ItWillNeverCatchOn novels would only run for so long]] until the series popularity forces him to look back on this choice as an OldShame. Other than that, there are also logical reasons InUniverse for Stiyl's appearance as he's ethnically caucasian[[note]]making him appear taller to the Japanese cast as the average height for adult males is 5'7''[[/note]], and having to endure numerous hardships in his line of work, along with the fact that his use of Innocentius is causing CastFromLifespan, leading to RapidAging.

* DeathOfAThousandCuts: Her Nanasen (Seven Flashes) technique involves her splitting her seven steel wires into ''thousands'' at once to strike her foes from all directions. The other members of the Amakusa can perform it, but Kaori thanks to her Saint powers can split her wires far more than them.

** She views her brutal beatdown of Touma in the first volume as this, especially after he saves Index from her fate when she couldn't and keeps helping her with her problems. When she calls out Acqua for brutally beating Touma in Volume 16 like a bully, it's clear she's just as much reprimanding herself for her past transgressions.

No matter how bizarre and monstruous they were, to her the Crowley Hazards were still Crowley, and thus still people. By killing them she had gone against her magic name and her very nature as a magician, which is to save others.]]
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]]. While her given name and family name can be translated to "Fire Weave" and "God Tear/Split" respectively and she at least lives up to her family name by being able to hold [[spoiler:the angel of the Angel Fall arc]] back without any external support, she definitely doesn't have malicious intents.

* NotSoStoic: She maintained a calm, near-emotionless demeanor while fighting Touma to get to Index, but when he chewed her out for acting needlessly antagonistic toward the young nun, she flew into a rage and began bludgeoning him with her (sheathed) sword while screaming at him how hard it was to handle her friend's annual LaserGuidedAmnesia.

* TheRival: She has a friendly rivalry with her kohai, Itsuwa. The source of the rivalry? They both like the same guy!

* SuperToughness: During her fight with Acqua of the Back, she tanks strikes that would have laid low any of the Amakusa members several times over, and at one point blocks a powered-up strike the narration described as having power comparable to a "small planetary collision" and ends up creating a 100 meter wide crater from the pressure that tears through the entirety of the underground layer of District 22 they were fighting in and sends her crashing down to the next level with the rubble. She was still able to get up and keep fighting, albeit rapidly losing ground and bleeding.

* WakeUpCallBoss: In the first volume, she's the first opponent Touma goes up against that he can't just punch her attacks to nullify and then punch her out. Her physical abilities alone are more than enough for her to beat him silly, and while he does land a blow, it's nowhere near enough to win. He only lives because in the end she never intended to kill him.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Technically, Coronzon would have kept kicking Aleister regardless of whether he stayed good or turned evil, but given the crap Aleister's put Touma, his friends and the world through, it's hard not to cheer even a little bit when Coronzon finally destroys and possesses Aleister's original body.

* TheHero: She's one of the main female heroes in the series and in her own side-stories light novel series.

* {{Stripperific}}: Her usual outfit has a tied up shirt that reveals her waistline and one of her jean legs is ripped up.

* BladeOnAStick: Their Steel Gloves take the form of a pole-arm with a claw-like extension for a blade, which are meant to function as an amalgam of all of the Norse God Thor's weapons sans Mjolnir and allow them to use all of them at once. Only Bayloupe is able to utilize this to its fullest extent, however, thanks to her Gjallarhorn providing her with [[ShockAndAwe lightning abilities]] to make up for the lack of Mjolnir.

* DropTheHammer: {{Defied}}, as Bayloupe states that any Soul Arm that emulated the power of Thor's hammer Mjolnir would be too unwieldy for girls of their build to use effectively, so they went with the more practical and versatile [[BladeOnAStick Steel Glove]] instead.

* ContraltoOfDanger: John's Pen Mode drops her voice to a CreepyMonotone and shows just how dangerous those 103,000 grimoires are when put to use.
