Once these revelations came to light, many hero agencies were forced to close up shop in the face of public backlash, civilians began taking to vigilantism after losing their trust in pro heroes, and Endeavor is forced to rebuild his reputation from practically nothing.]]

* In ''Anime/{{Promare}}'', Galo looks up to Kray as his hero and savior, given how he had rescued him from a fire when he was only a boy. However, after learning from Lio that the reason the Burnish have been on the run is because Kray had been experimenting on them, he confronts his hero about the veracity of Lio's accusation. In response, Kray proceeds to show Galo that every word Lio said was true as Galo learns Kray has been capturing the Burnish to [[PoweredByAForsakenChild use a fuel source to power]] his ColonyShip. Afterwards, Kray has Galo locked up and gives him a massive HiddenDisdainReveal as he tells him he has always hated him. If Galo's pedestal could not be broken any further, in the climax Kray not only reveals that [[GenocideFromTheInside he himself is a Burnish]], but that he caused the fire that he rescued Galo from in the first place and intentionally assigned him to Burning Rescue as one long UriahGambit to rid himself of him.
