It's possibly a kidnapping, but there's nothing big about it--her mother's an alcoholic, the girl's probably run away from him for a bit, she'll come back.
But then her mother starts talking about a notebook; the girl's ''really'' attached to it. Zeke ignores it, waving it off as something that young artists do.
