* For all his going along with Timon's lead, Pumbaa low-key [[WhatTheHellHero calls out Timon]] on staying in the oasis in favor of aiding Simba in overthrowing his Uncle Scar. Although it's supposed to be a PlotMandatedFriendshipFailure, it shows that Pumbaa has a mind of his own and can disagree with Timon [[EverybodyHasStandards when the situation calls for it]].

* Pumbaa saving Simba from going over a waterfall. Doubles as a [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments funny moment]] when Timon takes the plunge instead.
