** Even more awesome in hindsight, for Blondie: Angel Eyes ''had'' to shoot Tuco first, as he couldn't risk Blondie having bluffed the name on the rock, and Tuco was already disarmed, so all Blondie had to do was wait for Angel Eyes to pick up his gun to shoot him in the distraction. He had already won, the other two just didn't know it yet. Makes you think that he's not "the good" simply by default, on virtue of Tuco and Angel Eyes being worse people than him, but he's "the good" because he's just ''that good''.

piece. And he ''enjoyed'' the fact experience so thoroughly that when his friend Creator/HenryFonda approached him about working with Creator/SergioLeone for ''Film/OnceUponATimeInTheWest'', Wallach heartily recommended that he take the part. Wallach died in 2014, he's 2014 at the age of ''98'' years old, nearly reaching 100. What a awesome badass he is.

No meta moment, see this query.

* In a meta sense, think about this for a second: the scene with Tuco and his brother, considered one of the most {{TearJerker}} moments and the one where Tuco and the film itself become something deeper the originally expected, was brilliantly acted by two actors who ''couldn't understand what the other one was saying''. [[note]] Luigi Pistilli, who played Father Pablo Ramirez, spoke Italian. Eli Wallach spoke English [[/note]]. The fact it worked '''so well''' says a lot about both the production, the direction, and the cast.

* During Tuco's first two near-hangings, Blondie has managed to ShootTheRope with two bullets. At the end of the film, from three times the distance, he cuts the rope around Tuco's neck with just ''one''. Moreover, there was some serious artistic license: Blondie flips up the long-range leaf sight on his rifle but the cross member is so loose it falls down to the very bottom. This would have given him no elevation of the gun barrel to allow for bullet drop to make the shot, so he did it [[ImproperlyPlacedFirearms with an improperly placed firearm]] under [[ImprobableAimingSkills impossible odds]].
