There is a catch; the path you are taking is in some back roads in Marin County with a notable lack of intersections and other back roads in a very restricted path. However, you can drive almost wherever you want in this point of view if you turn Tanner's Challenger around at the beginning. If you do so, the game will make no attempt to set you back on track and force you to restart the mission, allowing you free reign to drive around San Francisco in the second-person. That said, there is a reason why the mission makes you take the path it wants you to take, and why the game itself does not provide any more opportunities for this; the pathfinding for the automatic car following is not perfect, and could cause glitches that will force you to redo the mission. Still, the fact that Reflections managed to accomplish something resembling second-person gameplay is remarkable in itself.

* The mission where you control Tanner ''in the second-person'' is an awesome feat of trying to do such a thing in a video game. To make sense of this, you are in the body of an up-and-coming crook who Tanner is trying to help become a wheelman for Jericho, taking down targets through a few missions. In the mission in question, you find out that your next target is ''Tanner and Jones themselves'' in the former's Dodge Challenger. Once you realize this, you suddenly find that you are not in control of the car you are driving from the point of view of the guy you're Shifted into; you are instead controlling Tanner and his Challenger right in front of you, and the car that you're Shifted in is driving itself automatically as it follows them. Congratulations, you are now performing second-person driving!\\\

* The "Paper Trail" mission. Tanner is helping a father retrieve his kidnapped son. The kidnapper watches them until they reach a designated location so they don't attract attention. He then gives them a drop-off point, gives them three minutes to get there, and heads off himself. Upon learning that the father doesn't have the ransom money, Tanner takes full advantage of not being watched: by ramming a police car, he gets a squad of cops to follow them to the exchange point, storm the place, and capture the kidnapper.
