* The epilogue to the ''Super Hero'' arc features Son Goku and Son Gohan sparring at the peak of their strength. Then Goku lets Broly take on Gohan. Then Vegeta gets in line. Then Trunks and Goten express their own desire to fight Broly. Not content to be a spectator, Goku gets back in on the action and before you know it, all the living Saiyan characters are having a battle royale. Being the first posthumous chapter released in the wak of Akira Toriyama's passing, it's a true celebration of his life's work.

* One has to be given to Creator/MasakoNozawa, because her performance when the big moment comes is absolutely jaw-dropping. Granted the echo helps, but this is ''an eighty-year old woman'', busting out some of the most ''intense'' kiais you've ''ever heard'' in ''Dragon Ball'' history. Subjectivity's out of the window on this one; ''this'' is why this voice actress ''makes'' Goku. Creator/SeanSchemmel had one ''hell'' of a bar to live up to for the English dub, and yet as always he ''more'' than stepped up to bat, flawlessly pulling off the Kaioken-induced stress that his character's body is going through, ''especially'' when he yells the above lines. Like Nozawa, he IS Son Goku.

** At the end of the Granolah The Survivor Arc; Frieza puts Elec in his place by killing Gas and then tells Elec that he knew that Elec was planning on killing him but he simply let him do his business while exploiting it for his own army. And then he kills Elec with a blast to the face, vaporizing him. But Frieza isn't done. He then shows off his new Black Frieza form and pummels Goku and Vegeta with one punch. Frieza is currently the strongest being in the universe so far after training in a Space-Time Chamber of his own and now he can't wait for his rematch with the Saiyans.

** Important note to Goku's unlocking of Mastered Ultra Instinct. Many chapters before, Merus stated to Goku that the form would be achieved if Goku managed to control himself in the face of a "jarring emotional shock", which was exactly what Merus' sacrifice caused on Goku. Rather than giving in to his anger like Goku usually does before he achieves a new transformation, he ''forces himself to remain calm'', which in turn triggers the actual Ultra Instinct transformation. And you can see the world and the sky tremble as he transforms, signifying that Goku has achieved full control over his own emotions and is ready to kick Moro's ass.

** Bonus points for Piccolo pointing out that all of his training with Gohan didn't increase his power at all, it was just to bring his combat instincts back. ''He literally jumped up to Kefla's level over the course of the tournament.'' The anime might not give due credit to Gohan's potential as a warrior, but the manga sure does.
--> '''Kefla:''' Heh! You sure you don't need to go Super Saiyan for this? If you even ''can''?

Before Super Saiyan God, before even Super Saiyan itself, there was the first powerup technique of the gods, brought back by Goku as his final trump card: '''KAIOKEN!''' He goes all the way to ''x10'' without any visible ill effects, even creating a never-before-seen double-aura effect as he multiples the power of Super Saiyan Blue.. This is the result of Goku's training long before the power of a Super Saiyan; the fruits of his hard work that set him apart from Vegeta, and show why he's the strongest of all. Hit never stood a chance. There's even a ThemeMusicPowerup.

** Made even better when you realize that this is a meta Crowning Moment of Awesome in that Beerus successfully destroys a gag character without even breaking a sweat and barely paying attention to him.
* Then, when Beerus was about to destroy Arale from intervening in his food enjoyment, Bulma and Dr. Norimaki ''successfully convinced him not to destroy her''. Though his stomachache took priority too.
** Soon following this, Beerus stops Arale cold with one casual stomp and would have destroyed her in one shot had he not had to leave due to a PottyEmergency. That's right, Beerus is more powerful than [[PintSizedPowerhouse Arale.]] He definitely earned his title as the God of Destruction.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTsr_u1E1c8 Goku Black vs Future Gohan]], by Hyourinjutsu. While the animation and the fight is really good, what makes this video so awesome is that the animator managed to explain how the alternate timelines in ''Dragon Ball'' work. Beware, however, the video contains spoilers.
** It also gives Future Gohan a good showing too, as despite eventually losing and dying in the battle with Goku Black, he was actually ''[[CurbStompBattle dominating him]]'' through and through until Super Saiyan Rosé made its appearance. And although he was obliterated by Black's Super Black Kamehameha, the fact that he actually ''lasted'' long enough to make to turn it into a BeamOWar instead of being swatted aside (despite the massive difference in power level) is ''amazing''. Plus before he bites the dust, Gohan makes it clear that [[MyDeathIsJustTheBeginning even if he dies, someone stronger will take his place.]] He also manages to possess the Super Saiyan 2 and 3 forms, and out of all the characters, actually came within the few characters to almost ''kill'' [[InvincibleVillain Black.]] It's not much of a stretch to say that [[SoProudOfYou Future Goku would have welcomed his son with open arms]] in the afterlife due to that awe-inspiring battle.
* Funi's dub of ''Super'' is also airing alongside ''Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters'' on Toonami.
* One Youtuber, Hayclonic, dedicated time to editing together a ''real-time'' cut of the Tournament of Power, one that wasn't merely every single moment of all episodes sped up to an absurd degree. Despite ample amounts of TalkingIsAFreeAction and InactionSequence in the original as in any lengthy shonen anime, and admittance that the actual video is not ''entirely'' real-time (as it was impossible to show everything and still cram it into 48 mins, and some footage is a little sped-up to fit into the timeframe), the cut portions of long/unnecessary exchanges and ample SplitScreen have consistently made it ''work'', despite occasional setbacks along the way. While his masterwork and channel have long been taken down, someone managed to save the masterpiece and put it back online. See for yourself [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaK7ypei56U here]].
* The fact that Funimation got Creator/BrianDrummond to play Copy-Vegeta as a nod to the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z. There's fanservice and then there's this!
** They soon followed up by bringing in a legendary voice actress to voice [[MagicalGirl Ribrianne]]. Who did they choose? Creator/VeronicaTaylor--a.k.a. '''the original voice of [[Anime/PokemonTheSeries Ash Ketchum]].'''
* Masako Nozawa truly deserves an award for her performances in the Goku Black story arc, because not only is she voicing Goku and both of his sons as per-usual, but ''also the main villain'', each of them with their own distinct personalities. And even with her high pitched voice, she manages to make Goku Black sound truly as sinister as he really is.
* Universe 2 is this for the sheer effort put into creating it. Simply the initial way the maidens fight is pretty much Pretty Cure inspired. The universe takes a lot from many series and the Shoujo genre in general. While it's a parody, it's done with not mere respect, but dedication to make it work in the ''DB'' settings that it becomes less of an AffectionateParody and more of a love letter to Magical Girls and the Shoujo genre in general.
* Just the success of ''Super'' in and of itself. The last "original" ''Dragon Ball'' series released was ''Anime/DragonBallGT'', which only lasted a mere 64 episodes (and probably would have been even less had the Baby Saga not done well near the end). Despite the anime's infamously rocky start, the series picked up greatly and expanded the lore, going for just over ''double'' ''GT''[='s=] length and ''just under'' the original ''Manga/DragonBall'' length (at 153 episodes) as of March 2018, and ''Dragon Ball'' had the advantage of having a manga to derive it's stories from.
* The night that Episode 130 premiered, Crunchyroll's servers crashed ''within minutes'' of the episode posting due to the number of people trying to watch it online as soon as it came out.
* Although legally questionable, many public squares in Latin America, including Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, and Argentina, showed Episode 130 to many public spaces. Bars and such even joined in to show ''Super''. There were many people in attendance, some of which were reported to have over 2,000 people.
** The practice was repeated for the tournament's finale in Episode 131. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ob-qmT8Pbc&app=desktop Seeing crowded public venues chanting the names of the characters and losing it over the climax]] truly shows how much this series excites people the world over. Another example [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9xBKizQntU here]].
** The way they advertised this throughout Latin America made it seem like this was [[https://fotos.subefotos.com/be53b44376713e0b7c2f40405a052941o.jpg a major fight akin to boxing or MMA]], with news outlets reporting on these episodes.
** This ended up having an unexpected (and amazing) effect: The ''Anime/DragonBallSuperBroly'' soundtrack includes two songs ("Kakarot vs. Broly", "Broly vs. Gogeta") that have an announcer hyping the fight between the characters. According to Nagamine, they were added after the filmmakers heard how Goku vs. Jiren was hyped and shown illegaly in many parts of Latin America like a boxing/MMA fight.
* On July 9th, 2018, fans all over the world exploded as Akira Toriyama finally revealed the [[TheBusCameBack identity]] [[BreakoutVillain of the]] [[UnexpectedCharacter mystery]] [[CanonImmigrant movie villain]]: the infamous Legendary Super Saiyan... '''BROLY IS BACK.'''

** Both the first time she met Barry and when he tries to start trouble in her own home, Videl could have flattened him in an instant if she wanted to -- she knows martial arts, and still recalled how to fly as shown after the second incident. But no. She chooses the high road, and uses calm, rational words to deconstruct his pride, defeating him without so much as a clenched fist. This showcases a marked change from the short-tempered and stubborn teenager she used to be, a great show of her maturity as an adult, and that Videl's still got it all in one go.

** How the series handles the whole relationship issue is an awesome moment itself especially for a {{Shonen}} anime. It could have been far easier if Videl turned against Gohan right after seeing the pictures, creating needless amount of drama in the Gohan/Videl relationship but nope, Videl demonstrates not only true loyalty but also perception where she unhesitatingly and rightfully assumes that Gohan must've been set up by Barry to "cheat" on his wife and calls him out on it. Essentially, rather than using it as an opportunity to add drama like most anime series/fictional media in general, it instead shows just how much love and trust they put in one another.

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

* The famous Goku vs. Beerus beatdown. Beerus spends the entirety of the episode dancing around all of Goku's attacks until he finally decides to attack when Goku turns Super Saiyan 3, defeating Goku in two blows. To one up even the movie it's based on, Beerus blocks a full-power Kamehameha by sticking out his finger. After getting back up, [[UpToEleven Goku says not even a Fusion of him and Vegeta would stand a chance]]. During the next episodes, it's revealed this wasn't even close to 10% of Beerus' power, and there is no way Goku could have known just how much he was holding back.

* Magetta's the real deal, alright. Not only does he have Vegeta on the run in the beginning, he tricks him by firing off a tower of magma that hardens into rock, then fires a glob to distract Vegeta while he takes the collapsed pillar of lava rock to sneak in behind the blast and hammers Vegeta out of bounds! If Vegeta hadn't managed to land on a stray piece of rubble from the stage, he'd have lost then and there. Not only that, he ''manages to fend off a fully-charged Final Flash'', the same attack that blew off a piece of Perfect Cell when Vegeta couldn't even harm him before that point, and the follow-up punch from Vegeta! It takes the Saiyan Prince destroying a massive chunk of stage beneath the Metal Man and insulting Magetta to finally ring him out. In the end, he hasn't even suffered any damage to boot. Were it not for his inability to fly and his WeaksauceWeakness, Magetta could very well have defeated or/and forced Vegeta to go SSGSS.

* We finally get to see Vegeta's training with the Yardats pay off when he uses his new technique on Moro, Forced Spirit Fission, which can tear apart enemies who gained strength through fusion or absorption. Using this technique on Moro allows Vegeta to free all the life energy Moro drained from the planets and their inhabitants, returning it to where it belongs[[note]]This ends up restoring to life all the Namekians Moro recently drained.[[/note]]. Piccolo lampshades how far Vegeta has come in both [[TookALevelInBadass strength]] and [[CharacterDevelopment moral character]], to the point of managing to [[ThrowTheDogABone surpass Goku for once]]. [[spoiler:Too bad Vegeta didn't take the chance to finish off the weakened Moro [[DevourTheDragon before he could try anything...]]]]
* Kudos must be given to Moro for what he does once he achieves his best form. In a matter of minutes he trounces all of the Z-Fighters as if they all were mere mooks. ** Extra points should be given to how Moro handled Goku. [[spoiler:Goku had just obliterated his left arm with a Kamehame Ha. And this is not even ''meant'' to be a fatal blow; Moro even states that Goku dying now would be a waste of food for him.]]
* After [[spoiler: Merus sacrifices himself to weaken Moro]], Goku finally reawakens the full power of Ultra Instinct. He then proceeds to deliver an epic CurbStompBattle to Moro. During the fight, Goku punches Moro so hard that we get a DistantReactionShot of the shockwave of the blow moving across the entire planet. By the end of it, the once haughty Moro is reduced to begging for his life.

* The shot with Super Dragon Balls. Champa wasn't kidding last episode when he said they're ''[[NotHyperbole the size of planets]]'', and Vados was able to toll six of them while flying at her top speed. We then find out two episodes later that the Super Dragon Balls are a little over ''half the size of Saturn'' [[note]]The Super Dragon Balls' individual diameters is stated as about 37,196 km, whereas Saturn's is 72,367 km. For comparison, Earth's diamater is 7,917 km[[/note]]. Basically, Vados just pulled a [[UsefulNotes/TheSilverAgeOfComicBooks Silver Age]] Franchise/{{Superman}}.
