* Also, the fact that nearly everyone is ''totally on board'' with Vincent and Rin's relationship. Jonny is pissed due to what it means for Katherine and even punches Vincent, but begrudgingly accepts it. Orlando is utterly baffled at first due to Vincent outing himself to be bisexual, and Rin's gender, but quickly decides to roll with it. That kind of reveal could've gone far worse, and it demonstrates how strong these guys' friendships are. The most telling reaction comes from Erica, who was famously outed as a transwoman in the original game. Not only did she become Rin's best friend early in the game and it's made clear she knew about Rin's gender all along, but she's visibly concerned and angry when Vincent admits that he panicked over Rin's UnsettlingGenderReveal and caused him to run away. She immediately [[WhatTheHellHero tells Vincent to call Rin and apologize,]] listens intently when Vincent desperately tries to fix his mistake over the phone, and ends up being the couple's biggest ShipperOnDeck once Vincent makes his decision. This entire scenario approaches the homosexuality subject matter far, ''far'' better than the original game.

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

* If you take Rin's romance route in Full Body, you'll see Vincent [[TookALevelInBadass gradually become awesome throughout the story.]] Their relationship ends up being the most healthy of three options, because Rin loves Vincent unconditionally and unlike the other women, doesn't manipulate him or have a separate agenda. Despite his initial shock over [[UnsettlingGenderReveal Rin being male]], Vincent quickly gets over himself and realizes he's in love as well. He becomes ''way'' more decisive and upfront about his feelings, to the point he publicly outs himself as bisexual to his friends and everyone else in The Stray Sheep, and promises to figure out a way to make it work along with taking responsibility for Katherine's pregnancy. Near the end of the game, he confidently tackles Mutton's final gauntlet to save Rin, and they easily dismiss his homophobic ranting with a heartfelt KirkSummation. This is taken UpToEleven in the finale, when Rin's [[AngelicAliens brother]] shows up to take him home, furious that he's fallen for a mere human, and forces Vincent into a final gauntlet to test his worth. If he loses, Rin has to leave, and [[EarthShatteringKaboom the Earth will be obliterated by meteors.]] Not only does Vincent fearlessly take on this final challenge, he pulls it off spectacularly. He manages to secure Rin's freedom and future with him, and ''save the entire human race from extinction''. That's a ''huge'' step up from the flaky drunkard he started as. Plus in this route Vincent figured out that Mutton was involved in the nightmares unlike the other routes where he accidentally gets Mutton to tell the truth not only is he more badass in the Rin route but he’s also smarter as well.

* Vincent's challenge to Boss/Thomas Mutton. Erica even comments on it.
** Slightly before that, Boss/Thomas Mutton threatens Vincent with more nightmares for pushing the issue. Instead of backing down, Vincent ''threatens to stab him to death''.
*** The very fact that he threatened to [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu stab a god to death]], and that, one would assume immortal, god was scared of him speaks volumes.

* More of a meta-example, but if ''you'', the player, can beat all stages of [[BonusDungeon Babel]], all of which are [[HarderThanHard much harder than the other levels]], you are definitely a master of ''Catherine''.
