At the prestigious Sanriio Military Academy, there are many students from many countries working together in order to forge strong ties and hone their abilities, but there's no such thing as absolutes. Yuucisus and Shuun, two knight candidates. [[BystanderSyndrome Sei and Riyon refuse to intervene]], despite [[TheHeart Koural's]] protests. In order to stop the infighting between his two precious friends, Koural steps in between. [[PyrrhicVictory He dies, but he manages to bring them back to their senses]]. [[DownerEnding The End]].

[[BaitAndSwitch Or is it? Nah, it is just a school play]].

Kouta Hasegawa, 17 years old, is a second-year high school student who hides a secret: he is incredibly fond of Pompompurin, or he was until the other kids started to mock him over it, leading Kouta's relationship with his grandma to crumble. Sadly, he never mended his bond with his grandmother, and she died before he could muster up the strength to apologize to her. Now, his days are empty and he has little to look forward to. All of this changes when he accidentally finds a cutesy My Melody keyholder belonging to Yuu Mizuno, and fails to gather the courage to publicly return it to him, fearing that if he did that, Yuu would be mocked about it like Kouta himself was. Much to his shock, Yuu isn't afraid to admit liking My Melody. Slowly, Kouta begins to bond with his fellow cuteness fans at school, gradually learning to accept himself and being open about the things he likes.

* MerchandiseDriven: The show is filled with ProductPlacement and even shows a segment where the boys go to a Sanrio Gift Gate (using real-life photos of the store) in Shinjuku. It justifies this by focusing on what the goods represent to the boys.

The story isn't so much "Real Men Wear Pink", rather than "Real Men Should Wear Their Pink Proudly".

* MerchandiseDriven: Downplayed. Yes, there's Sanrio merch all over the place in this series, but the show focuses more on what the goods represent to the boys than just using them for product placement.

* BaitAndSwitch:
** The first minute or so is really just a part of the ([[HamAndCheese somewhat]] [[NarmCharm melodramatic]]) school play [[InMediasRes and it is stated that it actually occurs much later]].
** The second episode heavily hints that Yuu and Shunsuke are a secret item going to school separately, what with them living in similar spaces, Yuu asking "Can't we go together?", and the cuts used in the scenes. Then we see that the pair actually had their morning routines in separate buildings-- buildings with the same layout, in fact.
