* CoolOldLady: Lulu is a tough-as-nails old woman who regularly screws up Koji and Tofukuji's schemes. She carries a pistol with rubber bullets, built a device that can change the sound of one's voice, and is mechanically minded enough to turn her motorcycle into a mini-mecha. [[spoiler:Her last lines with the Principal heavily implies that she's also a crossdressing man, so she could technically be considered a CoolOldGuy.]]

Were they in Hibiki's shoes, neither of them would hesitate to take advantage of all the impressionable young schoolgirls during their more vulnerable moments, which highlights just how sincere Hibiki is when it comes to teaching.
* DoesNotLikeMen: Principal Chieko Sannomiya and Vice-Principal Reiko Mukogawa both had bad experiences with men in the past, which only fueled their hatred for them. They let their prejudice color their administrative policies, what they teach the student body, and how they treat the male students.
* DramaticallyMissingThePoint: When Hibiki's revealed to be a man in disguise, the Principal and Vice Principal try to use it to pressure the parents into letting them convert the school from co-ed to girls-only. This ignores the fact that, had the school been exclusively female to begin with, it wouldn't have prevented Hibiki's deception in the first place.

Hibiki has to balance his struggles to conceal his gender with helping his students with their personal problems. One student in particular, the sweet and clumsy Fuko Kuzuha, has the most trouble performing her best in class, and Hibiki's help only ends up making Fuko fall for "her". Combined with the Vice Principal's rising suspicions and Lulu's other renters getting underfoot, Hibiki's teaching gig will surely be a memorable one.

''I My Me! Strawberry Eggs'' is a thirteen-episode {{Anime}} series created by TNK and Pioneer, written by Creator/YasukoKobayashi, and initially ran on Japanese TV in 2001. There is also a {{manga}} adaptation.

The series follows Hibiki Amawa, an idealistic young man who has recently graduated from college with a degree in physical education. Unfortunately, he hasn't been able to find an opening in his field, and is behind on his rent so far that his landlady Lulu holds his dog hostage. At last Hibiki finds an advertisement for a position at Seito Sannomiya Private School. But when he applies, Hibiki is turned down flat. While the school itself is co-educational, the principal refuses to hire male teachers.

Upon learning the situation, Lulu offers to help Hibiki out by disguising him as a woman. (Turns out that the landlady has a suspiciously field-ready assortment of gadgets for just such a purpose.) Sure enough, with this and some slightly altered paperwork, Hibiki is able to start work at the school.

Naturally, things don't go smoothly. Not only does Hibiki have to conceal his true gender from everyone at the school, but the misandrist attitude of the school administration is causing discipline problems with the male students and friction between the boys and girls. And when one of Hibiki's students, the {{Moe}} Fuko Kuzuha, starts [[AttractiveBentGender getting a crush on "her"]], well…

But it isn't all bad news. Hibiki manages to connect with the students and mediate between them with some success, and even get the administration to ease off on some of their more blatantly stupid rules. In the end, though, the masquerade is revealed, and everything changes.

Fujio and the girls at the school have similarly low opinions of males, though Fujio's crush on Fukae and Hibiki's efforts to reach out to the students start to wear away at this.
* DownerEnding: The man-hating principal and her equally bigoted stooge successfully drive Hibiki out. This anime bitterly subverts the usual TwelfthNightAdventure formula in that love, understanding, and tolerance do ''not'' triumph over the tyranny of an establishment in the end.
** The last episode showed a [[BittersweetEnding slight silver lining]]; though he lost the job, he still got through to the students. Not exactly a ''complete'' loss, though still not ideal.
* DramaticallyMissingThePoint: When Hibiki's actual gender is revealed, the school administration tries to use it to pressure the parents into letting them turn the school into a [[LadyLand girls-only school]], ignoring that this would not have prevented Hibiki's deception in the first place.
