** Charle's voice actress Creator/KumikoNishihara played Princess Crepe from ''Anime/YesPrettyCure5 Go Go'', another RidiculouslyCuteCritter fairy mascot which looked like an animal and having a VerbalTic. Both are voiced in same way.
*** Creator/KumikoNishihara also voices [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsInTheSky Renne]], who is always seen carrying a stuffed rabbit doll. Charle is a rabbit-like fairy, [[spoiler:and her human form has almost exact same hairstyle as Renne's]].

** Here, Takuya Satou played yet another {{Tsundere}} [[Anime/CardfightVanguard brown]]-[[{{Franchise/Ys}} haired]] [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure delinquent]].
** Creator/RieKugimiya [[Anime/DigimonSavers once again]] plays a SixthRanger TagalongKid with MysteriousPast. Considering both shows are written by the same guy (Ryota Yamaguchi), this might be intentional.
** This isn't [[Manga/NuraRiseOfTheYokaiClan the first time]] Creator/CassandraLee has an [[AnIcePerson ice-based powers]].

Added DiffLines:

** Played straight with Alice, who refuses the offer the become a Pretty Cure because she was afraid of her own rage overtaking her while in battle, as it did before in her childhood. She eventually becomes Cure Rosetta after a heart to heart speech with Lance and Sebastian

Added DiffLines:

** One of the story arcs present in the season is the Five Pretty Cure Vows Arc, in which everyone gets ADayInTheLimelight as they overcome their own weaknesses and become stronger as a result... well, everyone as in Mana, Rikka and Makoto. Alice's episode has her OutOfFocus for a majority of it while Sebastian and Mamo overtakes most of the plot.

An English adaptation, [[http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2017-07-19/glitter-force-doki-doki-listed-for-august-18-on-netflix/.119040 under the name]] ''Glitter Force Doki Doki'', began steaming on Website/{{Netflix}} from August 18, 2017. This makes ''[=DokiDoki=]'' the third installment of the franchise to receive an English dub, after the original ''Anime/FutariWaPrettyCure'' and ''Anime/SmilePrettyCure'', ''[=DokiDoki=]'''s predecessor. Like the original ''Glitter Force'', which was adapted from ''Smile'', the English version changed the character's names and cuts down the number of episodes from the original version's forty-nine; its first season reduced the first twenty-one episodes of the original version to fifteen. While Creator/SabanBrands is credited with the production of the English version, the ''Glitter Force'' trademark was transferred over to franchise creator Creator/ToeiAnimation prior to the dub's announcement.
