* ''Fanfic/ChildOfTheStorm'' and its sequels broadly keep the generations the same (i.e. those people who are contemporaries in canon broadly remain contemporaries), but play around with character's ages relative to main character Harry Potter/Thorson, who's 13 and a half when the story starts - for instance, Carol Danvers, eventual {{Deuteragonist}}, who first appears in the comics in her late 20s, makes her first appearance as a 15 year old. * ''Fanfic/AKnightsTaleAsInquisitor'': Arturia herself has stated she is thirty-five, a whole decade older than her canonical age....[[OlderThanTheyLook but still doesn't look a day older than fifteen.]]

* ''Fanfic/MyHuntsmanAcademia'' has Izuku and the rest of the transplanted first-year My Hero Academia students aged up slightly to 17 to match the usual age of entry for [[WebAnimation/{{RWBY}} Beacon Academy]] students. Similarly, the transplanted third-year students are aged up to 19 from 18.

The swearing is probably realistic for either fourteen year-olds or sixteen year-olds, though.

* In the PornWithPlot fic ''[[https://archiveofourown.org/works/26361532/chapters/64205539 Science: Saving Humanity Without Regard to Morals or Ethics]]'' by Ero-Senin a.k.a The Sage of Toads (famed for ''Fanfic/TheKeyToASuccessfulInterview'' and ''Fanfic/BeautifulDestroyerSailorMoon'') plays it oddly as while the character's are aged up four years, it's implied that until Ritsuko uses a retrovirus to undo the damage done by Second Impact, the Eva pilots and their agemates all have their canonical [[NotGrowingUpSucks 14-year-old bodies]], despite their age.

Nando also becomes a teenager, but he's aged down instead of up, since he was originally a young adult of VagueAge.

* In ''Fanfic/PokemonResetBloodlines'', Ash wakes up in the reset timeline to find that he's now 15 years old, because things couldn't be reset perfectly. A number of other characters have also aged up or down to varying degrees.

* In ''Fanfic/AshAndSerenasAtomicOdyssey'', the notes at the start of Chapter 2 state that Ash, Serena and Clemont are all 15 years old, while Bonnie is 9 (the fic starts out at the end of the Kalos saga).

* In ''Fanfic/WarriorsKingdomsTheProphecyBegins'', Spottedleaf's age is tweaked so that she's closer to Firepaw's age. In canon, she was 4 years at her death, making her roughly 25-40 in human years. In this fanfic, Spottalia starts at only 16 and is barely older than Fiyr.

** [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureSteelBallRun Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli]] were active in the 19th century and born a few decades before 1890. In ''Spirit Tracks'', their counterparts George III and Gyro were born in 1959 and 1945 respectively, though their Hamon [[OlderThanTheyLook makes them look like their canon selves in appearance]].

** In ''VideoGame/Persona5'', Joker is a second-year high school student. In ''Fanfic/ThievesCanBeHeroes'', Ren Amamiya is a first-year student at U.A. Academy.
** Apache Chief was a member of the WesternAnimation/{{Superfriends}} in the modern day. In ''Fanfic/HuntersOfJustice'', he lived in the era of the Wild West alongside Jonah Hex.

* In the oneshot ''Fanfic/FallenAngel'' it's mentioned that Amy is fourteen. In ''Sonic'' canon she's only twelve.

** Downplayed with Stella Zhau. She's 13 here, while in canon she's 21 (11 years old before Season 5).

* In ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12933174/1/Spider-Man-The-Young-Avenger Spider-Man: The Young Avenger]]'', depicting a Marvel Universe that is essentially a blend of the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse, the comic universe, and other Marvel media, Peter Parker becomes Spider-Man when the ComicBook/YoungAvengers make their debut after being friends with Cassie Lang since they were in school together, which leads to Peter and Cassie dating after they each join the Young Avengers.

** Basically applies to Ben Parker; some adaptations of Franchise/SpiderMan state that Ben Parker fought in the Second World War, but since this would make him too old to match the May Parker seen in the MCU, Private Peter Parker meets the Howling Commandos during D-Day and is confirmed by WordOfGod to be Ben and Richard's father.
