** In the mainstream Marvel universe, Bruce Banner became Comicbook/TheIncredibleHulk after being exposed to radiation from an experimental gamma bomb while trying to save a teenager who'd accidentally wandered onto the blast site, and was CursedWithAwesome since then. Ultimate Bruce Banner managed to get the Hulk out of his system, but reinjected himself with it, fully knowing the potential consequences, to solve his self-esteem problems. His rampage in New York was a 9/11-like disaster.

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

** Magneto. While his mainstream incarnation is also a villain [[HeelFaceRevolvingDoor most of the time,]] he's a complex, morally ambiguous character, and has joined the heroes' side on numerous occasions. ** Unlike the PragmaticHero ComicBook/{{Venom}} would eventually become in the original, both the Venom Suit and Eddie Brock Jr. have none of the redeeming qualities of their 616 counterparts and are instead full villains. In this version the Venom Suit was created to be a cure for cancer by Peter's and Eddie's parents, however it ended up becoming a fully parasitic monster that forces it's hosts to feed it or be consumed themselves, while Eddie Jr. is a perverted and self-serving ConsummateLiar more than willing to become an almost mindless beast thanks to the power it gives him and the connection it has to his father.
