Cambdoranononononono: Removed Anime In-Laws because acting as impediments does not on its own qualify as an example of this trope. First, they aren't there to cause Failure Is the Only Option-style stagnation in the relationship, but to insert drama. (Compare Ah My Goddess.) Karen doesn't really care about the two as matches for each other, and tends to work against Kazuo much more than against Miharu. Kenta basically doesn't deal with Miharu directly at all. Neither is a case where the girlfriend/boyfriend fails to recognize their relative's behavior.

  • Anime In-Laws - Miharu's cousin Karen chases after Kazuo to try and break them up, causing early conflict in the strip. Kazuo's father Kenta just wants Kazuo to shut up and do what he wants, which does not include marrying Miharu. The marriage arrangement was against his will and he eventually runs out of patience and forces Kazuo to break it off.

Removing it again. The trope defines a specific pattern that goes beyond just "in-laws in an Animesque situation who cause problems".
