  • Awesome Music: Oh, yes. "Eye for an Eye" is a fan favorite, but there are so many others. "Frontlines," "Prophecy", "One", "Blood Fire War Hate"...
  • Common Knowledge: They are frequently referred to as being a Brazilian band thanks to forming from the ashes of Sepultura, but in actuality, they were formed in the United States. In fact, with the exception of Max himself, only one of their past and present members has been from Brazil, that being original bassist Cello Dias.note  All of their other members were/are American (except for Logan Mader, who is Canadian, but he never appeared on an album).
  • Epic Riff: Often.
  • Funny Moments: In the song "Bumba", when Max screams 'BRING THE SHIT!'.
  • Memetic Mutation: "Jumpdafuckup", used as a pejorative term for nu-metal styled musicnote .
  • Never Live It Down: The band's nu-metal origins tend to cloud the metal community's attitude towards them, despite the fact that they abandoned nu-metal more than a decade ago. It even took seven years after their shift to deathrash with Dark Ages for Metal Archives to add them - by then, they were already settled in their current sound for four records.
  • Questionable Casting: Sean Lennon, as in the son of John Lennon of The Beatles, performed the chorus of "The Son Song" on the band's album Primitive. The fact that he looks and sounds just like his father makes it even weirder. Strangely enough, it actually sounded good.
  • Take That!: "Jumpdafuckup", used as a pejorative term for nu-metal styled musicnote .
  • Signature Song: "Bleed", which features Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit.
