Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Yes, they're all platformers, and described as such in their Wikipedia articles contrary to what the troper claims in the edit reasons for their changes to the index. This seems to be a wonk.
Edited by rasterax^ I've just checked the WP articles, and you're right!
Anybody else wanting to chime in before I do the revert?
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300The Wikipedia articles for all five games in question (Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario Odyssey) all list them as belonging to both genres.
^ I was about to ask where they were mentioned as AA games, since neither their header descriptions nor their categories mention the genre at all; but then I noticed the infoboxes and it's listed there. -_-
I guess I have no option but to accept defeat them.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Well, I do think that for the work description on Super Mario Galaxy, "...is a 3D platformer" would be more informative as that's the primary genre. That's the only work page that was changed, isn't it?
I think they edited other Mario pages in the past but I had reverted them.

On Super Mario Galaxy, SeaMonkey851 has changed the game's genre from Platform Game to Action-Adventure. This is the second time they do this, after I had reverted it since all official sources describe the game as a 3D Platformer instead of action-adventure. They also extended this wonk to the Action-Adventure index, as seen here (where they also listed other 3D Mario games which, again, are officially described as Platformers).
I'm writing this query to ask for permission to revert the edit once again, and ideally to also remove the games from the AA index.
