Another technical point or two:

* an explanation of the term "open era" would be useful.
* Tennis was part of the Summer Olympic Games program from the inaugural 1896 Summer Olympics, but was dropped after the 1924 Summer Olympics. Though it was a demonstration sport twice, it didn't return as a full medal sport until the 1988 Summer Olympics and has been played at every edition of the Games since then. Thus many legendary players couldn't win Golden Grand Slams in their careers.
