Okay, maybe that's an overstatement. But it's hard to deny that Videodrome has rightfully earned its place in the Canadian auteur's canon. Cronenberg had the scoop on technology twenty years before we started tweeting and sharing Kony 2012 videos on Facebook. (I wonder what his recent films say about life in another twenty years...)
This is also one of the few films that scared me when I watched it. I had to take a break halfway through. I'm still not sure exactly what part of the movie got to me most (body horror, evil technology, Brian O'Blivion, Videodrome itself), but suffice it to say that it'll get to you too when you check it out.
