Fundamentally Uncomfortable
I don't really have much to say about the script or the acting in this film, because I can never get my thoughts past the basic premise. I'm sure there are some who will claim I'm overly sensitive or one of "those" types of women, but I'm left feeling like this is a movie about an indirect rape. Yes, the female lead was looking to get pregnant. Yes, the male lead was drunk. So what? The big difference here was that the violation was via medical device, and not his actual genitals. The fact that he doesn't say anything when he first realizes it just makes it worse. I can't believe that someone (let alone the multiple someones involved in greenlighting a film) thought this was a concept that should be played for laughs.
