It's spare, heart-wrenching, and incredibly, painfully beautiful. It focuses on how Yoko's buried grief over Kamina's death still haunts her, and how much in love with him she still is even after years and years. Each and every word is just right, and it's intensely sad without ever becoming melodramatic or heavy-handed. This troper offers fair warning: you seriously may well cry. But it's so, so worth it. Highly recommended, and this troper's favourite fanfiction, period.
