"Tales" is an excellent Pony fanfic, well-written from a first-person perspective, taking our ladies to some interesting places psychologically as time goes on, and delivering some absolutely gut-punching scenes. Author George Pollock, Jr. also really *gets* these characters, particularly narrator Twilight Sparkle; it's difficult not to hear Tara Strong herself delivering many of these lines.

It's pretty sad, but definitely woth reading.
