Reviews: Brony International Guard
Sheer, unadulterated genius.
This is a fantastic fic. No doubt about it. It is warm, self-aware, irreverent and above all truly hilarious. The writing of canon characters is solid and well done, and the O Cs are well-rounded and interesting. The plot is a little shallow for my taste, but since it's a short, primarily comedic work, I'm more than willing to overlook that. The thing this story does which makes it stand out, is put a very interesting twist on the standard "human-appears-in-Equestria-and-bonds-with-his/her-favourite-pony"-story. All-in-all, a very well done fic. Not one of the great fandom-defining epics, but if all you want is an hour of good, clean fun, B.I.G. does NOT disappoint.
There comes a time when, from the dregs of an infamous cesspool of crap emerges something inexplicably beautiful, something divine, something like none you have ever seen before and will ever see again. Brony International Guard is this for Human in Equestria fics. Perfectly in character, absurd, VERY subtly comedic and referential, and all too real and plausible, B.I.G. will have you clutching your sides in laughter as Twilight tries to make sense of the sudden influx of "Humans", and her friends deal with them in the ways you'd totally expect them to. Contains Bronies, angry Twilight, thoughtful and interesting exposition, Queen Pinkie, Empress Rarity, and lots of laughs. You will NOT regret reading this. Its only flaw would be that it is already complete.
