Let me tell you...
What I didn't like: How Rancor was wasted as a character. How it's difficult to tell who's speaking. How we're told and not shown things. How Tirek was written. How Luna was written. (the Pony POV Series is a Luna's a Prick fanfic) How we're suppose to like the unlikeable characters. How we're suppose to buy the draconequi aren't evil. How Alex turned Dark World Twilight into a Mary Sue wish fulfillment fanfic. How we'll never get to know more about D___t. How Havoc/Entropy/Strife never get any comeuppance. How things are never explained. How the stupid fanboys keep objecting to my complaints. How so many character are never described. How Rainbow Dash doesn't have many awesome moments. How boring and filler-ey the Shining Armor Arc was. How boring and filler-ey Dark World was. Those are all the ones off the top of my head. What I liked: How D___t was written. How Pandora was written. The fight scenes. The elements from previous generations. The villains. The names given to the O Cs. How one of the characters names is an anagram of "il penis". (I found it amusing) How vagracorn sounds like viagracorn. (I found it amusing) Why I started reading it: I think it was because TV Tropes said it was good. And it DID start out good, but it eventually jumped the shark. But what hate the most about it is the author, he's not very nice, and actually thinks the bad things are good. I honestly think he's delusional.

One of the best fanfics I've read in general
The Pony POV series, in my opinion, is one of the best MLP:FIM fics around today; it's also one of the longest, over 100 chapters at the time of this review's writing. One of its biggest triumphs is the way it introduces lots of depth not just to FIM, but to the often-reviled previous generations.

The Alicorn/Draconequus pantheon and the way the series handles Nightmares (similarly to how Puella Magi Madoka Magica handles Witches) help this a lot. One of the best parts of the increased depth is the balance between darkness and the show's original tone; it explores darker themes without throwing the show out the window, and avoids making Equestria yet another Crap Saccharine World.

That said, there are some less-positive points. Mostly in the earlier chapters, there are many small spelling and grammar errors. Wording gets awkward at times, even clunky. Some may not like the way Season 6 is a mix of Shining Armor's prequel story and an entire Dark World series. People who don't like long stories will probably be spooked by the sheer volume of the fic as well.

All in all, the Pony POV series is a fantastic fic that explores and deepens the setting and characters, and readers who can ignore its small issues in presentation will enjoy its compelling plot and emotional content.

Best My Little Pony Fic EVA! (though not without problems)
What makes the Pony POV Series stand out? The short answer: depth. The long answer: Welllll....

This is an awesome MLP:FIM fanfic. Here's a few reasons why.

1. World Building. Equestria is not utterly silly, nor a Crap Saccharine World. It's an attempt to emulate the feel of canon equestria, while making tweaks. Furthermore, the story expands into the fantastic, with a large pantheon. Heck, the author also throws in a Shout-Out to other fics, or incorporates them.

2. Nightmare Fuel. There are some unsettling images, and freaky moments for sure.

3. The humor. The humor ranges from Comically Missing the Point to Breaking the Fourth Wall, but the fic does let me laugh even during some very heavy subject matter, particularly when Pinkie Pie's around.

4. The Character Development. This is the big one. The premise of the Reharmonized Series is that Discord's attack left mental scars on everyone, so how do the ponies react? From this, all the ponies of equestria (mane cast especially) faces not just the demons of discord, but their own demons as well. This ranges from Apple Jack facing each Awful Truth, to Pinkie finally centering herself to feel all emotions. There's a ton of development all around, but not at the cost of totally erasing an old personality.

5. The story. This story is one of the most ambitious in all fanfiction. There is Slice of Life, High Fantasy, tragic flashbacks, and many a Plot Twist. Further, the story isn't afraid to play with classic tropes for an interesting twist, or ask questions left unsaid by the show. This ranges from exploring the "Nightmare" Superpowered Evil Side, to the all encompassing theme of facing reality.

However, there are problems. In world building, the fic want to incorporate as much as possible from ALL My Little Pony, down to the last episode. It can get confusing for anyone unfamiliar with the whole franchise, but newcomers can follow along if they try. (so long as they've watched some of G4 to understand the references. The Villains can really get over the top sometimes, and foreshadowing can be so far in advance, you forget about it. Not to mention some Ending Fatigue since the fic has a Myth Arc that goes from the 15th episode to the present over MANY "episodes".

However, this Epic is still worth reading. You won't regret it.
