You may not like Yahtzee Croshaw, but you have to give the man this; he may be a harsh critic, but nobody can say to him "let's see YOU make a better game". Poacher is not just a good game, it's an excellent one. Yahtzee really knows his game fundamentals. The game has solid platforming, a good challenge curve, and witty and well-written dialogue. I would recommend it to Metroidvania newcomers and veterans alike. Oh, and just a warning: The game has one of the hardest secret optional bosses I've ever come across in a platform game. Few times have I felt as deeply satisfied as when I beat it. Be prepared.
