Thanks for this, the problem with this fic is the massive usage of Ron The Death Eater complete with self-indulging Author Appeal (granted Author Appeal IS one of the main reasons we write fiction, but if it's not taken in check, it can be annoying).
Also I attempted to read I'm On Your Side but the fact that Leshawna and Duncan starts to make out right in the beginning and the incessant bashing of Courtney really annoys me. I have to post here because in the fandom she is a sacred cow.

Dirty Little Secrets/Total Drama: A Brick and Jo Love Story
Sooooo...my after I started watching Total Drama Island: Revenge of the Island in order to better bond with my gurl she recommended Winter Rae's work to me, telling me that she was a very prolific fanfic writer for the Total Drama Series. Besides, she'd written a fic for my favourite pairing, Jo and Brick (a pairing which shall henceforth be referred to as Jock) which I ship so hard it's not even funny. Now she told me that Winter-Rae was a prolific writer, at no point did she tell me that Winter-Rae was a good writer. As we all know prolific does not necessarily equal good, no not at all.
At my friend's behest, I went and found the Jock fanfic which was then entitled Dirty Little Secrets. This fanfic started out totally fine, the campers are in the throes of the owning-up-to-totally-embarrassing-truths challenge when it is revealed that Jo was at some point a swimsuit model and she gets laughed at by all the guys for not seeming feminine enough. Desperate to prove that she is, in fact, female to everyone who can't see the subtle visual clues such as her completely inadequate set of knockers Jo orders Brick to grab her boob.
The fanfic really goes downhill from there.
All of a sudden massive character derailment occurs on a scale that makes the Gare Montparnasse incident look like your little brother knocking over his Thomas and Friends train set. Characters she seems not to like such as Lightning and Anne Maria become nasty, scheming, cackling villains when in canon they are just irritating at most. The irony lies in the fact that she hates when people do this to Leshawna.
Not satisfied with this travesty Winter Rae has decided to continue her work and has made it a series dubbed: Total Drama: A Brick and Jo Love Story. The character derailment continues and for some reason Scott has changed his plans from causing his own team to lose to breaking up Jock.
While I admit the nicknaming was pretty cute and I like Jock, I'm going to give this fanfic a big fat zero. Sorry, Winter Rae, better luck next time.
