I read it out of pure Bile Fascination

I wasn't disappointed by this book, mainly because I had no expectations for it whatsoever. And, maybe it's because I thought it was going to be horrible that I kind of enjoyed it. Yes, Edward and Bella are thin, flat, one-sidedly perfect characters and whatnot. And yes, I can't go three pages without reading about how pretty Edward is. And yes, Edward sparkles. I am well aware that the book is trash. I just couldn't put it down. Ironically enough, If the book had been written about the minor characters, it may have been a better story. Carlisle's back-story, for example, was particularly engrossing.

I agree with you. I liked the book well enough to finish it, but not enough to read the sequels, or to see the movie. I think I would have liked it when I was a teenager, though.

I just finished reading the Twilight Series. I enjoyed it enough but I felt the romance was too rushed between Edward and Bella. Breaking Dawn had the worst ending a story could possibly have in my opinion. There was no fights just talking. Stephanie Meyer is brilliant to the extent she was able to take the myths of vampires and werewolves that she twists them around that they aren't true. I felt though she could have done better with the romance plot. Bella by the end of the book seem to perfect if you ask me. Bella of course as I found out the author was actually describing herself. Also She didn't do alot of research like Rosalie's backstory. She grew up during the Great Depression yet she had the money because her father was a banker. Wasn't the reason the Great Depression start was because of the banks. She obvious did not look up any of that. Brillant writer but foolish. There is so much more potential that could have gone into this story.

I found myself inexplicably reading through the whole book in one sitting as well. The only major problem with it is that it's popular. It's not worth major attention, just a fun little light book to read in-between the good novels.
