Coming from Cat Bountry you'd expect a story where he kills off half the team, gives the rest lifelong PTSD, and cripples half of them too, but nope, it's a pretty good tale that will bring a smile to your face.
Well, to be fair, there is a bunch of turmoil, and, okay, the first book does have a lot of conflict and stuff not suitable for younger audiences, but the next two sequels gradually ease up.
Does feel unfinished, though. The last chapter in the series ends quite abruptly, though admittedly in the middle of a rather heartwarming event, so it isn't the worst ending, but still feels sudden. To each their own, I guess.
