I thought the twist made sense. You don\'t want it to happen because you thought better of the characters, but it showed how little people (even the nicest people) respect the feelings of the eponymous character. Plus this is a story in which the protagonist casually rapes at least two people and yet still somehow is treated as sympathetic - it wasn\'t as if the grimness came out of nowhere.

The grimderp ending was as fitting as a fly in the milk.
Though admittedly I haven’t watched Antichrist yet, so maybe there is some meaning behind it that I am missing.
