Couldn't you have waited a month for it to finish? Particularly since it's looking to be pretty back-loaded in terms of the plot
Also, uh, you're complaining about trends in yuri anime, but the only one that's aired recently is Sakura Trick?

A Breath Of Fresh Air
As a Yuri enthusiast, the recent output hasn't been too bad. However, stuck in the apparently endless [[Moe]] rut, Yuri anime that wasn't filled to the brim with HNNNNGGGGGGGG was getting quite hard to come by.
Then came Akuma No Riddle.
A wonderful break from shows such as Sakura Trick, (Which wasn't bad, mind you) for people who felt disappointed with recent Yuri series. In reality, the show doesn't focus on the Yuri aspects as much as you'd think.
The synopsis is as follows, Elaborate University High holds a Deadly Game with a class of assassins to see who can kill The Pollyanna the fastest, while her roommate falls In Love with the Mark and decides to protect her.
It could be described as Kill Me Baby played completely straight.
What follows is a beautifully dark series with plenty of Psychotic Smirk and Slasher Smile to go around. The series doesn't go too in depth with their story and focuses more on the characters and their back stories. Never before have I seen a more ineresting way to make assassins so pitiable/redeemable. On the flipside, some of the characters are really freaking scary, and entice you to see what will happen next. The Monster of the Week format does the series immense justice.
My advice: if you enjoyed Yuri series like Kannazuki no Miko, then this series is right for you. If you're looking for an intense action/drama story, this show is right for you. Really, I would recommend this series for anybody. Can't wait for the Funimation Dub!
