Am I the only one that finds it a bit funny that Larry doomed everyone by being a decent person. From a certain perspective, if he had slept with Nadine and at that point admittedly been an asshole, Nadine wouldn't have gone to Harold. Harold, who, was having a beginning epiphany about how he was valued and feeling something good. Harolds growth seemed to have been halted when Nadine arrived with knowledge from Flagg about how to manipulate him. This led to the bombing, etc. Just saying, I find it odd that Larry doing a good thing led to such horrible results.
"Unfortunate Implications: Flagg comes from Outside. This makes him a Complete Monster. what the blue HELL? This isn't the only time King has pulled shit like this either. IT has the exact same problem. "
What the hell are you talking about?

One other issue I have with it is the constant assault on 'rational thinking' as if trying to learn and understand the world was a horrible and evil thing. I get that some of it might have been the whole spiritual beliefs of the time, etc. It just feels jarring to be told to ignore any form of rational thought and how it's arrogant to try to understand things. (though that might have come through more in the unabridged version which is the only copy I own)
