1) This is a YMMV page, so there will be varying opinions, especially with games that undergo a fundamental change in design. 2) You keep trying to exert authority on what on what you keep insisting is a "universal consensus", when there have been numerous articles and forum opinions that go against that. 3) That "Even Better Sequel" entry was created as petty response to Broken Base, and thus has been deleted.

As far as I can see the only one enforcing authority is yourself. 1) Forum Opinions are meaningless, two you have not cited any of these articles.

2) Even if People say that they like Arkham Asylum more that would fit under First Installment Wins for which you are welcome to make an entry.

3) You have no right to Delete YMMV, I sent you a PM warning once. Do it again and I will report you.

Anyway, I have said my say...and this is as far as I can reasonably manage. It is not my interest or desire to antagonize you. I won't interfere and correct you again in future on any further edits on any of the Arkham games and pages.

I am tired of edit wars, so I invite Hello 9876 to come here and sort out his/her respective issues.

Some people (actually one particular poster) object to seeing Batman: Arkham City elevated as the overall best game when for most people online this is an uncontroversial opinion: He wants to replace

  • Even Better Sequel: Arkham City is considered by some to be the overall best game of the franchise especially since it built on Asylum's features while adding crucial features (namely the iconic gliding and grapnel traversal mechanic where in the first game it was merely scripted), more combat and stealth options (varied combo finishers, multiple environmental takedowns), amping up the difficulty (with armored thugs and jammer-packs) and one of the most praised boss fights in the franchise (Mr. Freeze) and for its rich storyline with its shocking twists that most Didn't See That Coming the Two Jokers/Clayface reveal, and the Joker's death at the end:

  • Contested Sequel: While it's hardly a consensus by any means, Arkham City is considered by some to be the overall best game of the franchise especially since it built on Asylum's features while adding crucial features (namely the iconic gliding and grapnel traversal mechanic where in the first game it was merely scripted), more combat and stealth options (varied combo finishers, multiple environmental takedowns), amping up the difficulty (with armored thugs and jammer-packs) and one of the most praised boss fights in the franchise (Mr. Freeze). However, it does receive a lot of criticism for its story, which overindulged with too many villains making guest appearances, the Stripperific designs of its female characters, and the overwhelming bloat of open world side missions and collectibles.

My objection first and foremost is: 1) Contested Sequel is Trope Misuse because Arkham City was in fact a supremely popular and genre-defining open-world game. There's a reason Arkham Origins pillaged its assets rather than Arkham Asylum. It is seen as a masterpiece. It would make more sense for Arkham Knight to come there.

2) This is a franchise page. It's right and fitting to put rankings as to what is the overall respected game of the series.

... yeah. The overwhelming consensus is that Arkham City is the Even Better Sequel. Saying it's disqualified because someone, somewhere disagrees means that literally nothing is an Even Better Sequel.

YMMV doesn't mean "post anything you want." When it comes to audience reactions like this, we're trying to show a snapshot of the audience's reaction as a whole. Saying "someone, somewhere thinks this" isn't valuable on these kind of perceptions.
