Re cut request: This needs a proper merge, not simply a redirect-and-cut. I've reverted the redirect in the meantime.

This trope has been replaced with an index full of Bunny Tropes. Please look at that index and see if any apply.

This is something that got removed from the Headscratchers section that I really want addressed: Duncan being listed as a Sympathetic Adulterer, Why? People keep trying to justify his actions by saying that "Courtney was mean in TDA, so she deserves it." Allow me to present a "Eureka!" Moment, Courtney was only being mean because she was unfairly voted out in Island, because Harold messed with the votes to get back at DUNCAN. So to recap, for Courtney being mean in Action, you can hold Duncan almost COMPLETELY responsible for. That being said, could someone clarify why people are on his side when HE'S the one making himself miserable?

Because he's a Draco in Leather Pants. While he does have a massive hatedom, a large part of which only exists BECAUSE he cheated on Courtney, he has a larger fanbase (except in Brazil, apparently). People just like him better, or perhaps don't really get that he's at fault in the relationship as much as Courtney is.

Which reminds me, when did they get back together anyway? Because in the Total Drama Action special at the end of the season, he and Courtney had broken up and were fighting over raccoon custody. Did they hook up again when they kissed on the bus later in the special? Or did it happen later?

@randomguy123, I'm fairly certain the kiss was them making up, since you see them cuddling later on, and they act like a couple in WLAE-1

@TheTannedOtaku, Duncan never predicted that Harold would do something like that to Courtney. He can't exactly be held responsible for Harold's highly unorthodox method of getting revenge (it's worth noting that even Harold admits that his actions were Disproportionate Retribution).

I prefer to blame Courtney's derailment on the writers and the directors who can't seem to make up their mind on what Courtney is. Is she a villain, anti-hero or hero? They can't keep consistency for crap.

My problem with the Sympathetic Adulterer thing is the fact that while Courtney was absolutely awful in TDA, at the end of the season, in both endings ,mind you, he is the one who willingly CHOSE to get back together with her. She did not force him in the slightest to do it, either, unless you some manage to equate a gun to a kiss. Then there's the kiss on the bus thing randomguy123 mentioned. Add to the fact that she becomes rerailed in the third season, the "cheating-thing-being-perfectly-justified-because-she-was-mean" theory just seems WAY off.

I have a feeling that the writers were trying to derail both Gwen and Duncan because they were forced to change couple status from Duncney to Gwuncan.I think this a bad case of writer's revolt that made sure that the Gwuncan ship would be sunk so no one could support it.I think also they weren't even trying to write a decent plotline that make sense and just slapped it on at the last minute.

"Allow me to present a Eureka Moment, Courtney was only being mean because she was unfairly voted out in Island, because Harold messed with the votes to get back at DUNCAN. "

Sorry, but this is outright false. Courtney was mean before that. Mostly towards Harold, but to others as well.

What Harold's cheating started was her violent tendencies. Her being mean is just a character trait she's always had.

While I agree that Courtney was always mean, her level of meanness changed every season so far. In season 1, she was just a simple arrogant Ted Baxter with bossy attitude, but she still managed to have her nice moments, usually courtesy of Duncan and Bridgette. In season 2, she lost any sense of decency and became a Jerk Sue bordering on Complete Monster due to her frequent moments of her teetering on the Moral Event Horizon and having little regard for others or their well-being, even her boyfriend's well-being. But, in the first half of season 3 she ended up being even nicer than her season 1 self by having more Pet the Dog moments with people and being more tolerant of failure. Then she is back to being derailed again in he second half when she was cheated on and she became single-mindedly obsessed with revenge and lost any regard for others that she gained. So all in all her meanness Depends On The Writer.

I noticed that quite a bit of information on the main page and the characters page is still in spoilers. Why? These episodes have LONG since aired in both Canada and the United States and I'm sure any fans of the series have already seen them so shouldn't they be removed by now?

Someone listed Trent as Bi The Way, with this description: "Despite having a crush on Gwen, he has many effeminate behaviours. He is very sensitive, wears girly clothes and is scared of strategizing."

Objection. Being effeminate does not automatically make someone bi, he's an annoyed-looking Perpetual Frowner unless music or Gwen is involved, he wears the same outfit any normal teenage boy would, and how on earth is fear of strategizing related to bisexuality?
